Despite the extreme grind the game becomes towards the conclusion (for instance, running the same dungeon like roughly 40-80 times to acquire one level, amassing Blood Orbs and High Orbs to unlock the small stat boosts that include over more time, and more), I've felt that Dragon's Dogma Online is definitely a good example of an online game I believe has certainly nailed the"open area" exploration with solid gameplay, optional combined multiplayer, and still provides both a challenge and comparatively casual encounter for people who desire it with no putting up nasty traps for players to get trapped into mess up their assembles. I never liked in Phantasy Star that you can mess up your skill trees even though you get the free chance to reset them (it doesn't help when I am trying to assist new friends play and they spent their things without me guiding them or informing them about why they don't require STR Up and they end up running through Level 50+ with no stances and core abilities ).

Personal speculation: PSO2 has been ported to the NGS engine to keep players occupied between NGS content releases. No new material will be published to it outside of makeup, of which will all be obtained/ported from NGS events/scratches to have folks to play that. It is going to be removed after a couple of years after all of the players have migrated over and the only individuals in the PSO2 cubes are diehards holdouts/nostalgia. Probably. It is a new game so chances are similar to some other Online RPG the first release will not have much about an endgame for the players who hit maximum level on day 1. It'll be wonderful to simply switch blocks anytime I want struck up an older UQ though. There is never a reason to not visit magatsu.

Excellent FAQ, answers a lot of my first doubts. Gosh, this seems so complex. On the one hand, kudos for maintaining the game intact so there will not be a riot over changes people do not like. But on the flip side, since they're remaking base PSO2 visuals anyway, I wish they'd just go 100% and synchronize character models entirely. Giving old players some free fashion items and unlocks would be sufficient to bribe everyone to take the new system.

Synchronizing 100% personality models does not sound simple. The dilemma is that the old outfits and layer wear are modeled to match the older pso2 body. In order to synchronize it, they would have to recreate from scratch (haha pun) 8 years of makeup. That's not likely to happen. Well, I mean that I'd be ready to shed a certain proportion of those cosmetics to keep things intact across variations. As long as there's a continuous feed of cool new stuff to replace it, I don't mind. I always rotate out my older looks anyhow. As long as the character models translate 1:1 it'll still feel like mine.
