If your windows 10 there is a genuine factory reset option where you won't have to outside in your product key or whatever. It is rather simple to initiate. I just googled mill reset windows once I did it. Great luck

No I started fresh. Much like a gentle format of this is push. Pictures files save files all went in an external HDD. I flashed the games I had before resetting windows. This is only because I have windows in an SSD, files on am HDD and games on another HDD. I think if all your games are on your os drive then you might not need to do this. Don't forget to backup your saved game files I presume those are mostly separate from the setup for many games.
