There was a two-day gathering by love of Biafrans of all works of life who hail from different languages groups in Biafraland from Sunday, July 24 to Monday, July, 2016. It was held at Ugheli North Local Government Area of Delta State, and it was organized by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO leadership from Asaba, the Delta State capital, to inaugurate a new family meeting at Ugheli.

Present at the meeting were different Biafran language groups such as Ijaw, Urhobo, Ishekiri, and Isoko. The Ugheli Biafrans welcomed the IPOB and Biafra media team led by Choice Writers, wholeheartedly. The two-day meeting provided them an opportunity to call Radio Biafra and make pledges for Biafra. They also granted interviews for Biafra television and other media outlets of Biafra restoration.

The people promised that they would do their best to sensitize the people on the important need to restore Biafra. They equally promised to work very hard to destroy the decades of lies and propaganda that evil Nigeria has heaped on the people’s psyche.

Secretary of the new family, Ijezie Matins, specifically stated that with God’s grace they would help to bring the people of Ugheli into the struggle by making them to know the truth.

According to a member of the new family, Okeifufe Emmanuel, “we will make our people in Ugheli to join the struggle because we know Nnamdi Kanu to be a resolute Biafran and will not fail us.”
