I was born in Port-Harcourt and my father worked with Ministry Works then PWD in the sixties. On his trip to Okrika as God will want it, unkowingly to my dad and the chief, my dad took residence in the compound of the Chief of a village in Okrika in Rivers State. The Chief's great, great grandfather kept a history of his origin and how he landed in Okrika. So the chief was feeling the presence of my dad in his compound and wanted an ordiance with him. The first question he asked him was Peter where are you from orginally. My father asked him if he wanted to know his hometown and the chief said yes. My Dad told him that he is from OBOSI. The chief got up and huged him. He did not say anything but asked my Dad to leave that he will call him back over the weekend. The Chief invited all his relatives, children and grand children to his compound as my father stepped in to the compond there was food, drink just a feastival. My Dad was surprised at that point the chief went inside and brought ancestorial link showing that they are from Obosi. Later on he told my Dad the name of their family and how and circumstances that led to the settlement in Okrika which I will keep for myself.
