Although, in his earlier remark, the former governor did say that those agitating for Biafra are right, adding that it's everyone's right to agitate when they feel marginalized.

Orji Kalu made this assertion while answering questions from bloggers who paid him a surprise visit at his residence in Igbere, Bende LGA, Abia State on the 30th of November 2016.

The visit which was led by Sir. Peter Agba Kalu, was a complete surprise visit to the former Governor.

After a little discussion with the bloggers, the business mogul gave the bloggers a chance to ask questions, while he will be ready to answer.

When asked about why he left Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) political party, which was founded by him, and joined All Progressive Congress (APC), he said; "I did not join APC because of my self interest, rather, I joined the political party because of the entire Igbo cause.

"The truth is that, although I'm an Igbo man, but I love to be where other Nigerians are seated, Orji said, adding that "PPA was like a South East political party, while APC is where all Nigerians are seated".

He said; For South East not to feel marginalized they need to be given what Nigeria have given to another zone, they need to sit up and realize their strength.... Nigeria is for everyone, not Hausa nor Yoruba is the owner, everyone belongs to the entity, but the difference is that we the Igbos are marginalizing ourselves by not being where other Nigerians are seated.

"Because if we are seated where other Nigerians are seated, we will share the same thing other Nigerians share", the former governor added.

Speaking about Biafra, Orji Kalu said; Those agitating for Biafra, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO, and the members of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSO have every right to agitate for a separate state if they feel marginalized in Nigeria.

But, why are they clamoring for a nation when Southeast is not yet developed?, Orji Kalu asked; adding that Southeast are undeveloped to be agitating for a nation, despite the fact that Igbos are talented, but staying in Nigeria is what we need.

"Southeast is better with Nigeria, in my own opinion, I believe we are good to be in Nigeria rather than agitating for a separate nation, Kalu added.

The former Abia governor further revealed that the Late Biafran warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu before he died, told him that he regretted taking the Igbos to war (Biafran war, 2 July 1967 to 15 January 197, citing that taking Igbos to war made them to lose a lot, both business, financial and lots more.

According to him; "When Ojukwu was alive, he used to sleep in my house, in many several occasions, one day he told me; that his greatest regret was taking the Igbos to war, that taking his brothers and sisters to civil war was his greatest mistake he made in his lifetime, Kalu said, alleging that he recorded it while Ojukwu was saying it.

The business mogul who is among the list of the richest people in Africa, has been relevant in Nigerian politics despite being a former governor whom his tenure has expired since May 2007, also revealed that he is the only Igbo that has been fighting for the entire Igbo cause.

In the part of Igbo cause, Orji said; No matter what it may be, or may occur, I remain resolute, I will not give up on the fight of Igbo cause and will not support anything that will divide the country, or throw the entire nation into chaos.
