Trump orders expulsion of dozens of Russian diplomats, closure of consulate in Seattle
President Trump on Monday ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian intelligence officers in the United States and the closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle in response to the nerve agent attack on an ex-Russian spy in the U.K. earlier this month, senior administration officials said.
The steps, following Britain's expulsion of Russian diplomats, are meant to send a message to Moscow that actions have consequences, the officials said. The Seattle consulate is being closed because of its proximity to submarine bases, as well as Boeing.
“With these steps, the United States and our allies and partners make clear to Russia that its actions have consequences,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said. “The United States stands ready to cooperate to build a better relationship with Russia, but this can only happen with a change in the Russian government’s behavior.”

Russia, which has been blamed for the attack, has denied wrongdoing. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov vowed a reciprocal response over Monday’s expulsion, according to Russian state run media.
"We’ve said more than once and we say once again: Russia has had nothing to do with this affair whatsoever. Naturally, as before, we will proceed from the principle of reciprocity," Peskov said.
U.S. officials said a total of 60 Russians are being expelled, including 48 at the Russian embassy and 12 at the United Nations. The individuals and their families have been given seven days to leave the United States.
"Today, the United States began the process of expelling 12 intelligence operatives from the Russian Mission to the United Nations who have abused their privilege of residence in the United States," UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said Monday. "After a review, we have determined that the 12 intelligence operatives engaged in espionage activities that are adverse to‎ our national security."

Officials said the president made the decision after several intelligence meetings last week, and was continuously briefed about the process over the weekend.
The administration had said it was considering a range of “options” in response to the March 4 poisoning of ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter. They were apparently poisoned with a Soviet-produced, military-grade nerve agent and remain unconscious and in critical condition.
At a summit in Brussels, the 28 EU leaders agreed with Britain that it is "highly likely" Russia is responsible for the attack on Skripal and his daughter, Yulia.

Trump previously joined British Prime Minister Theresa May and the leaders of France and Germany in condemning the poisoning.

"It is an assault on UK sovereignty and any such use by a state party is a clear violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and a breach of international law. It threatens the security of us all,” they said in a joint statement.
They also wrote “there is no plausible alternative explanation” for the attack and that the Kremlin’s failure to respond to a legitimate request for an explanation “further underlines its responsibility."
Russia has fiercely denied any involvement in the poisoning, saying that it had destroyed its chemical weapons and had no motive to kill Skripal, who was convicted of spying for Britain but released in a 2010 spy swap. Still, Moscow has in turn ordered 23 British diplomats to leave.
“We obviously stand united with allies that believe in the rule of law, of a rules based order, and whether it be North Korea using a weapon of mass destruction somewhere or any other country, we are against the use of weapons of mass destruction especially when there’re violations of a treaty,” Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told reporters Monday.
The EU’s position follows May sharing with group leaders information about why Britain is convinced Moscow was behind the attack, including the type of poison used -- a Soviet-developed nerve agent known as Novichok -- and intelligence that Russia has produced it within the past decade.

In his comment, an elder statesman and the convener of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark, said the call by Danjuma was in order .
Clark told The PUNCH that the former defence minister aired the feelings of a majority of Nigerians, adding that no one should allow himself to be slaughtered by bandits , particularly Fulani herdsmen terrorists.
Clark, a former Minister of Information, said the Buhari- led Federal Government was not doing much to address the growing killings by herdsmen in the country .
He agreed that if the government could not protect its citizens, the people should defend themselves and their territories against the attackers. He said, “What Gen. Danjuma (rtd.) said is very correct. A situation whereby a group of people are moving round the country, killing people, and the government is not doing anything about it is unfortunate. “The herdsmen move freely and after killing the people, they take over their land to settle. MEDIA RELEASE Kano, Saturday January 13, 2018 Summary of Deliberations by the Fulani Nationality Movement, (FUNAM).

"The Fulani Nationality Movement, (FUNAM) after extensive deliberations on the state of the nation in the context of the recent killings and national uproar, met today in Kano, the capital of Kano State.

Among other things, the FUNAM deliberated on attacks on cattles by rustlers, kidnap of Fulani men and women in some parts of Nigeria, displacement of Fulani traditional settlements in Northern Nigeria and some parts of Southern Nigeria, stealing of properties belonging to Fulani cattler owners amongst other issues.

The group also deliberated on the political situation in Nigeria occassioned by the irresponsible calls for restructuring of Nigeria, the historic and vicious attacks on Fulani people by Southern nationalities and their cohorts in the middle belt, the plot to ensure Fulani are pushed to the backbench in the power equation in Nigeria and above all, the vicious campaign against the God ordained place of Fulani as the leading star guide in Nigeria, and after extensive deliberations, we hereby make the following declarations:

a) That the killings in Benue of Tiv is well deserved. It was a revenge attack on the series of onslaught on the Fulani which was most horrendous on November 17 2017 when 30 Fulani men and women were killed in Nasarawa State. We notice the recalcitrant culture of the Tiv people as demonstrated even during the 1804 Jihad when they obstructed our ordained conquest of Nigeria.

b) We condemn the media propaganda being waged against the Fulani and supported by Yoruba, Igbo and their bigotry allies in the Middle Belt.

c) That we are aware of plots by the minority ethnic groups in the Middle Belt to attack Fulani settlements.

d) That we have asked all Fulani across West Africa to raise money and arms to prosecute the oncoming war. We call on all Fulanis to prepare for this Holy War. There is no going back. All over the world, Nigeria is the only country given to Fulani by God.

e) We oppose the anti-grazing laws which obstruct the ability of Fulani to move freely and stay anywhere in Nigeria. The Fulani, if not for the British would have actually conquered the entire Nigeria which God has ordained as our dominion.

f) That the Cattle Colony is the only solution to the crisis. Whether the Federal Government or State Governments accept or not, we have asked all Fulani herdmen all over West Africa to move to Nigeria and penetrate every corner for the upcoming Jihad. We have asked them to be armed since it seems it is the only language Nigeria understands. The Nigerian Government has failed to protect us.

g) We warn those who oppose the Fulani cattle trade to be cautious of the consequences. We are ready for the worse. We are prepared for war. There is hope for peace if and only if attacks on Fulani herdsmen stop and the Fulani is allowed to settle anywhere that the Fulani chose to settle in Nigeria.

We are Nigerians and are free to settle anywhere we desire with our culture, our families, our commerce and our values to the glory of Almighty Allah. Any attempt(s) to reverse these demands will be met with Holy Uprising never before seen in the History of Nigeria and in the scale compared only with the 1804 Jihad. A word is enough for the wise. The Fulani is capable of defending itself".

Three weeks after the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skirpal in the English city of Salisbury, more than 20 countries including the US, France, Germany and Canada have aligned with the UK, expelling over 100 Russian diplomats in total.
It is said to be the largest collective expulsion of Russian diplomats in history.
Russia has called the expulsions a "provocative gesture" and threatened to retaliate.
Earlier, Moscow told 23 British diplomats to leave the country and it closed the British Consulate General in St. Petersburg and the British Council in the country.
Who is Sergei Skripal?
Sergei Viktrovich Skripal, 66, was born in Russia.
Little is known about his early life but he served in the Russian military intelligence service, GRU.
He reached the rank of colonel in the GRU but left in 1999 to work in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Skripal was arrested in December 2004 by Federal Security Service agents on suspicion of treason: passing secrets to the UK’s MI6 intelligence agency.
He was jailed for 13 years after a conviction in 2006. He confessed to his treachery and to selling information of several dozen Russian agents to MI6.
Skripal was exchanged in a spy swap deal in 2010. In June that year, the FBI broke up an undercover Russian spy ring in the US and Skripal was pardoned by then-President Dmitry Medvedev and was exchanged for 10 Russian spies caught in the US.
He has kept out of the spotlight until he was found unconscious on March 4 in Salisbury.
His wife died of cancer in 2012 and their son died in 2017. Russian authorities have not given many details about their deaths.
Their daughter, Yulia, 33, still remains unconscious in hospital after she was found with her father.

Enyinnaya Abaribe, one of the sureties is here present before the court, ready to narrate what actually transpired between the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Nigerian Army in the guise of "Operation Egwu Eke II". The Military should be bold enough to tell the whole world where Mazi Kanu is...based on the doctrine of 'last scene'. Nnamdi Kanu was last seen the day the Nigerian Military invaded his home.

Why Nigerians and Africa at large need to celebrate the leader of IPOB, prophet Nnamdi Kanu. It is now categorically clear to all that three years after the prophecies of our leader and prophet of our time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu plays out like a movie and manifested before our very eyes. We thank God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) for his servant Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has now vindicated once again.

All the prophecies and declaration of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who still remained in the custody of Nigerian Army after the invasion of his hometown and compound in Afaraukwu Ibeku Umuahia Abia State on September 14 last year has come to pass, the recent scenario and statement from Rtd General T.Y Danjuma has clearly shown that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB is the only good thing that happened to Christians in Nigeria particularly Southern Nigeria and Middle Belt region.

It is good we hear him for history and record purposes. As they campaign vigorously for elec-tions you would think they are coming to grow the economy, en¬throne justice, breed unity and tol¬erance and love for one another. No, they are coming to enthrone Hausa/Fulani supremacy, to reposi¬tion the security agencies by sacking all competent hands and replace them with their kinsmen in order to drive their ethnic domination of Southern Nigeria.

“The Fulani herdsmen will be armed and encouraged to slaughter us with impunity and their masters will protect them. They are coming to ensure that my people are enslaved forever. Those who do not, believe me, will soon see it happen before their eyes. The Fulani will take over the en¬tire south as a continuation of their age-long agenda to Islamize Eastern Nigeria. It is unfortunate that APC Government led by Major General Muhammad Buhari arrested and jailed him for two years without trial and later kidnapped him and kept him without traces since 14th September 2017 because he saw ahead and spoke out without fear or favour.
He was hunted like an antelope for standing firm on the way to the truth that led and moved the Nigerian Authority and her security operatives including those unscrupulous politicians in Abuja planned to kidnapped him since last year without any well-meaning Nigerian asking questions for his whereabouts because he looked the cabals and jihadists in the eyes and called them what they are.

The proceeding ran thus at exactly 12:24 pm immediately after the appearance of honorary.Justice Binta Nyako{Mrs},by a flow of introduction of the case bordering the whereabouts of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, citizen Nnamdi Kanu{POC}followed by introduction of both councils as led by S.M Labaran who is appearing for the State, Barr.Ifeanyi Ejiofor and co, appearing for the defendants and of course, the council appearing for the sureties. Also representing is Barr.Ibrahim appearing for the Chief of Amy staff,Turkur Buratai.On the commencement of the proceeding,Barr.Ifeanyi Ejiofor who is defense council, stood up and let the court know that the sureties are in the court ready to narrate their ordeal leading to the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu. Going further, one of the council appearing for the sureties, prayed with some quotations of the law,praying that the court should please allow the sureties to speak before the court on why Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has not been in the court since he was granted bail.Barr.Labaran on his adumbration decided to divert the proceeding,stated that the court should as a matter of justice, initiate an order for the first defendant whom according to him is setting the processings backward to appear before the court to enable the fast commencement of his tria with every possible means known by law. In a more dramatic manner, Barr.Ifeanyi Ejiofor,the led council of the indigenous people of Biafra, rose before the court and challenge the praying made by Barr.Labaran who as matter of his praying, are diverting the purpose of the business of day. While he was proceeding,it came as a surprise when Labaran stood up to say he was not aware about what today's proceedings is all about. He further said that he was not served while Barr.Ejiofor insisted that he was served properly on time.While the fight is going on,the presiding Judge, hon.Justice Binta Nyako angrily says that she can't allow such drama to continue in his court. She therefore urge the two councils to settle within themselves for it seems like they are not yet ready for the case.Funny enough, before the blinking of an eye,the prosecutor as represented by Barr.Labaran Shaibu who is suppose to stay back for the commencement of the bail applications tabled before the court disappeared followed by the judge. It came as a shock to Barr.Ejiofor who were jotting down the date of the adjournment only to raise his face and see both the prosecutor and Justice Binta Nyako no more.
Very unfortunate that the case bordering the bail applications of innocent Biafrans who has been in detention facilities for the period of three years recording can no longer be heard,due to the dramatic disappearance of both the prosecuting council and the judge.Most alarming is that, the life of Benjamin Mmadubugwu who have been seriously ill are in danger languishing in prison custody without either trial, granted bail nor applying any form of medical attention.As the ugly drama unfolds, it is now more clearer to humanity that there is a conspiracy between Nigeria government and of course, her totally compromised judicial system to eliminate our brothers in their custody.Nigeria Judiciary is indeed an International Disgrace. Nigeria has a total failed Judiciary system, that can only be fixed by total Disintegration of Nigeria.Binta Nyako absconded from Court and refused to hear the Bail Application, on a bailable charge, where the Applicants have been detained for Three Years without justice.Are you surprised a Judge absconded from court, while trial was still ongoing, without giving a proper date for adjournment? It happens in Nigeria Judiciary system.The lead counsel Barrister Ejiofor after showing his disbelief over the illicit act of the Judge and Prosecutor, was able to secure 13th April 2018 with the Court Clerk, for hearing of Bail Application.How on earth can a Legal Representative stain the white cloth of justice, by repeatedly playing the Sharia script handed over to her by Fulani Islamic cabals, which is against even the Nigeria constitution?

ABUJA— There was a heated outburst today inside the courtroom of the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, by the four IPOB defendants as the court ended its proceedings without calling up their bail applications for hearing.The court had earlier slated today to adopt the bail applications of the four defendants namely, Bright Chimezie, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi and Chidiebere Onwudiwe whose charges were amended at the previous session.Visibly angered about the development, the second defendant, Benjamin Madubugwu, said he believes the case is no longer between the Federal Government of Nigeria and IPOB members but between the Fulanis and IPOB, adding that his application was deliberately delayed becausr he is a Biafran.“I know why this is happening to me because I am an Igbo man, a Biafran, that is why it’s like this.“All these herdsmen killing people everywhere in Nigeria, how many have been arrested? Am in prison, I’ve not seen them in prison.“Why would someone put me in prison for 3 years without telling me my crime? How can they charge me for unlawful possession of firearms when I have license? It was duly licensed. You(DSS) have a copy of the license. Go and ask the DSS when they invaded my house, they took the copy of my gun’s license and they know, yet, they’re still keeping me hostage,” he lamented.
Madubugwu added that for over three years he has been detained without trial, the international community remained silent in his plight even as his health condition deterioriates in prison custody.He asked, “Why is the world keeping quiet? Nobody wants to hear me out. Nobody wants to help me. Is it because we’re Biafrans? Why are we being neglected? What is my crime for Christ’s sake? I have been keeping quiet for long and I would no longer keep quiet. This is pure injustice.”However, as they(defendants) refused to return to prison custody pending when a new date to consider their application is fixed, it took the intervention of thr defense lawyers led by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor to calm down the restiveness and charged atmosphere created by the aggrieved defendants.The court, however, finally slated April 13, 2018, to adopt their bail applications.
