BIAFRA - IPOB ACCUSES BUHARI AND DSS OF CREATING FALSE DIVISION WITHIN GROUP - VANGUARD

No factions in IPOB—Igbo women, youths, others

Say TRIPOB, RE-IPOB leaders fictional

By Emeka Mamah & Clifford Ndujihe

ENUGU—The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Department of State Services, DSS, of being amateurish in its effort to cause confusion in the group by creating false divisions or factions of IPOB, saying that the misadventure would backfire.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Spokespersons of IPOB, Emma Nmezu and Dr. Clifford Iroanya yesterday.

They said that it was shameful that the DSS was implementing its plan of creating several factions of IPOB, and challenged the promoters of the “fake RE-IPOB, TRI-POB, BUHARI-POB, OKOROCHA-POB, and OHANEZE-POB,” to publish the real photographs of those behind the pseudo organisations for the world to see.

According to IPOB, its leaders like Nnamdi Kanu, Alphonsus Uchenna Okafor-Mefor and Uchenna Asiegbu among others are known people whose origins were verifiable as against the shadow groups being bandied by the DSS.

The statement read in part: “The Federal Government has done a very bad job as a propagandist. In conjunction with agents of DSS, the government in its propaganda misadventure must have succeeded in enraging outstanding propagandists such as Joseph Goebbels, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, and Gaddafi’s Moussa Ibrahim.

President Muhammadu Buhari and his DSS travelled on this road to infamy by creating fake groups and christening them ‘Indigenous People of Biafra’ with diverse deceptive prefixes such RE-IPOB, TRI-POB, BUHARI-POB, OKOROCHA-POB, and OHANEZE-POB.

The most intriguing aspect of this dance of shame is the use of pseudonyms that are both outlandish and laughable at the same time. For instance, the spokesperson of the Buhari/DSS-POB’s goes by the name Ikemba Biafra.

Recently, another fictitious name was concocted as “Jonathan Kurubo” purportedly from Igbogene, a community close to River Nun in Bayelsa State.

On the contrary, all principal officers and citizens of IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu bear their real names and have family histories as well as real photographs of themselves.

For instance, Nnamdi Kanu is from Isiama–Afaraukwu Umuahia-Ibeku in Abia state. He is the son of His Royal Majesty, Eze I. O. Kanu, the Egwu Ukwu of Afaraukwu.

The Deputy leader of IPOB is Mazi Alphonsus Uchenna Okafor-Mefor, from Abatete in Idemili area of Anambra State.

No factions in IPOB – Igbo women, youths, others

Similarly, Igbo women, youths, students and traders have faulted reports of crisis in the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leading to the emergence of splinter groups –The Rebranded Indigenous People of Biafra, TRIPOB and Reformed Indigenous People of Biafra, RE-IPOB.

Among people and groups, who insisted that IPOB is intact and challenged leaders of TRIPOB and RE-IPOB to produce their photographs if they are not fictitious are the Igbo Women Assembly, IWA, led by Mrs. Mariah Okwor; Igbo Youth Movement, IYM; Igbo Students Union, ISU; Igbo Traders Association, ITA and South East Christians Network, SECN among others

Recently, TRIPOB and RE-IPOB, in separate statements disowned the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and unveiled their programmes. While TRIPOB said it would burn the Biafra flag on October 1, the RE-IPOB listed names of some eminent persons to negotiate with the Federal Government, while warning Nnamdi Kanu to stop parading himself as IPOB leader.

Speaking on the issue, Mrs. Mariah Okwor, in a statement said: “The funny games being played by the Federal Government is a further confirmation of the arrogance of this government in their stubborn refusal to address the problems from the root by restructuring Nigeria along six regions without delay. Only true fiscal federalism can save Nigeria now. Creating non-existent factions of IPOB will not stop the agitation. Government should stop amusing the public with their childish plots.

There is clearly no crisis or factions among these gallant boys, they’re united under Nnamdi Kanu and they are committed to their struggle. I personally thought that Kanu will go the way of Uwazurike, but he has surprised everybody by his righteous, sincere and total commitment to the struggle. The IWA will honour Kanu in October for his honesty and transparent leadership. That boy is a hero.

According to her, four groups from the South East and three from Niger Delta will publicly honour Nnamdi Kanu for his sacrifices in defence of truth and fight for justice. IYM founder, Evang. Elliot Uko, said: ‘’Those who claim there is crisis in IPOB are the very people who are being used to create the impression of a crisis. Ndigbo know that IPOB is intact, why would I comment on non-existent TRIPOB and REIPOB? I don’t want to dignify fake groups with a response. The Federal Government should do the needful, which is begin to address the foundational reasons millions of youths have lost faith in Nigeria. Creating artificial factions will not stop the agitation. Only a restructuring of the polity will restore hope. Time is running out”

On his part, Comrade Chimezie Ubani, President of Igbo Students, said: “Nobody knows the fictional characters, Philip Effiong Osuji and Ikemba Biafra or Nzeogwu Biafra, Let them publish their photographs and tell us their home towns and local governments of origin, if they truly exist. There is no crisis whatsoever in IPOB. We will honour Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in all the campuses in Eastern Nigerian soon, he is our eternal hero, a prophet and a legend. He destroyed our oppressors with the power of truth. IPOB is intact and we are all proud of them.’’

Bishop Mike Ibeneme, coordinator of South East Christians Network, said: “We all know, Nnamdi Kanu, we know he is from Afara, Umuahia, Abia State. Nobody knows these names Ikemba Biafra and Philip Effiong Chima, they probably do not exist. It is clearly an attempt by certain forces to give the impression that there is division within the IPOB. It means the IPOB has become a very formidable force that is strong enough to frighten the authorities. Nobody believes there is any crisis within the IPOB, those alluding to factions in IPOB are only those who are afraid of IPOB.’’

To Chief Chris Obikwelu, Chairman of Igbo Traders Association: “We are all surprised to hear of strange names breaking away from IPOB. If they had said that Emma powerful, Clifford Iroanya or Emma Nmezu broke away, it probably would have been believable, but for totally strange names, unknown to anybody to publish a list of laughable characters to negotiate on behalf of Ndigbo, simply means that TRIPOB and REIPOB are fake, non-existent groups, created by the enemy in their foolish attempt to weaken IPOB.’’n I can tell you that they have only succeeded in making Kanu and IPOB more popular and respected by all. It means he is giving them sleepless nights, if he were a sell-out, they would not create fake splinter groups to counter him”

Nigeria military build up in the Southern part of Biafra: Nigeria is on the brink of another full-blown war.

There are fears that Nigeria might witness a major strife, which may even compromise the unity of the country if the federal government goes ahead to declare war against the Niger Delta militants, writes MIKE UBANI, in Port-Harcourt.

Few days ago, President Muhammadu Buhari issued a stern warning to the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) and other militant groups in the volatile oil-rich region to embrace dialogue or face military action.
The President warned that his administration would not continue to watch helplessly as a few aggrieved persons destroyed the country’s oil infrastructure when the issues at stake could be resolved though dialogue.
Indeed, the NDA and other militant groups operating in the region had in the past few months destroyed critical oil and gas infrastructures in the area, thus jeopardizing the country’s already dwindling economy.
According to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the country loses N107 billion daily due to the vandalization of oil and gas pipelines by the NDA and other militant groups operating in the Niger Delta.
It was apparently against this background that a distraught President Buhari warned the militants of the consequences of continuing in their nefarious activities. He warned that the Federal Government would use the force of arms to literally drag the militants out of the creeks, almost the same way they dealt decisively with the marauding Boko Haram terrorists in the scorching North Eastern part of the country.
President Buhari said the Federal Government was open to dialogue with the Niger Delta militants to resolve all contending issues in the oil-rich area.
‘‘We do not believe that they (militants) have announced a ceasefire. We are trying to understand them more; who are their leaders and which areas do they operate and other relevant issues?,” said President Buhari.
The President who spoke duringa bilateral talks with the Japanest Prime Minister declared that if the Niger Delta militants refused to negotiate with his government, he would crush them the same way he crushed Boko Haram.
He further told the Japanese leader that with the defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists by the military, the attention of the administration was now focused on stopping the destruction of the country’s economic assets by militants in the Niger Delta region.
“We are talking to some of their leaders. We will deal with them as we dealt with Boko Haram if they refuse to talk to us.
“As a government, we know our responsibility which is to secure the environment. It is clear to us that lenders won’t fund projects in an insecure environment,” said President Buhari.
Even before the President asked the militants to accept the option of dialogue or face military onslaught, the Nigeria Army had readied itself to march to the creeks of Niger Delta to forcefully fish out the militants..
In a ceremony in Sapele, Delta State to mark the official launching of a new military exercise in the Niger Delta code-named ‘Exercise Crocodile Smile”, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, said the army had been mandated to “provide security for residents as well as critical nation economic assets in the region
“We need to keep our country safe. We need to get our economy going without any interruption”, said the army boss. Gen Burata was optimistic that at the end of the exercise, security would have been achieved in the tempestuous oil rich region.
“ We hope that the economy will come up again and the facilities and infrastructures in terms of the oil and gas will be protected and the people around will go about their normal businesses without fear of any attack,” said the army chief.
It will be recalled that “Operation Delta Safe” was set up by the military during the previous administration to also quell the resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta.
Apparently conscious of the consequences of a full-blown war in the Niger Delta region, many organizations and individuals had since appealed to the militants to sheathe their swords and accept the option of dialogue.
For instance, The South-South Peoples Conference (SSOPEC), a socio-cultural group in the region, had appealed to the NDA and other militant groups to dialogue with the Federal Government..
Prof. Sotonye Amakiri, chairman of the association and other leaders of the group drawn from the six states of Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Delta and Edo, said at the end of its recent meeting in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, that it was better the militants discussed with the Federal Government instead of going to war with the Nigerian Army..
“The militant groups should not ignore the Federal Government’s willingness for dialogue,” said Amakiri.
He pointed out that negotiation was paramount as it would enable government to understand their demand challenges.
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ben Nwoye, also said in an interview with The AUTHORITY in Port-Harcourt that dialogue was the best option to resolve the Niger Delta crisis.
He advised the Buhari-led administration to acquaint itself with the Amnesty Programme initiated by the government of late President Musa Yar’Adua, to see whether it could be fine-tuned to meet the demands of the region.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, and his Sokoto State counterpart Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, had equally urged the militants to dialogue with the Federal Government. Both governors said in Asaba during the just concluded 25th anniversary of the creation of Delta State that an atmosphere of peace would fast-track the development of the oil rich region.
Though a faction of the militant groups has reportedly agreed to dialogue with the Federal Government, indications are that it would take some time before a consensus is reached among the militant groups to pursue the path of peace.
The implication, said one military expert, Mr. Donald Iwenso, is that that the Nigerian Army will launch an onslaught against the recalcitrant militants. Iweneso said that if this happens, “many people, especially women and children would be victims of the impending war.”
The country had fought a civil war between 1967 and 1970, after the then military governor of former Eastern Region, Col Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, now late, declared the region the Republic of Biafra on May 30, 1967.
According to a report issued by the United Nations, the war which lasted for 30 months, claimed the lives of two million people, especially women and children.
“Nigeria cannot afford to fight another civil war, but if it does, it may lead to the disintegration of the country.” said Iwenso.
An environmental activist in the Niger Delta, Comrade Alagoa Morris, told The AUTHORITY in an interview that the militarization of the Niger Delta region “can never be the best option for suppressing the militants in the region. He rather advocated for the declaration of a state of emergency in the region that will be geared towards developing the area..
“If President Muhammadu Buhari feels that increasing military presence in the Niger Delta region that has been militarized since 1999 will be the only option to solve the Niger Delta issue, he should go and ask Obasanjo whether that military option was effective or not.
“According to students of management, every leader has his own style in pursuing goals of the organization, so I cannot choose for Buhari. However, I would like to remind the Federal Government of certain very important historical facts, when visionary leaders like Ken Saro Wiwa saw the coming war in the Niger Delta and urged Nigerians to do something before the curtain falls, the then leadership of the country failed to see, but rather killed him.,” he said.
He said it will be difficult if not impossible for the Nigerian military to fight a successful war in the creeks of Niger Delta.
“Strangers cannot know the creeks more than the locals and so, militarization may not solve the problem. It might only encourage more youths to return to the trenches, and the consequences could be disastrous.”
“While not encouraging militancy in any way, I wish to remind residents that Nigeria is sailing in a democratic dispensation and, it is far better to jaw-jaw than take up arms against each other. Unfortunately former President Yar’dua is late, I would have urged Buhari to go and learn from him”.
Morris also urged the Federal Government to go back to the report of the Technical Committee on the Niger Delta and implement recommendations therein, pointing out that If Boko Haram that killed fellow Nigerians in thousands without any positive reasons are now enjoying protection and the North East is given special attention, there is no reason why the Federal Government should not declare a state of emergency in Niger Delta with the main focus of developing the area.
He said: “Look at the Brass road which even IBB said he will complete in 30 months; it is still in limbo. Are they serious with our development? Even politicians from our region are looting the commonwealth and under- developing us. This is so sad and unfortunate.
Nevertheless, the fiery civil society activist and founder Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), Rev. David Ugolor, accused the Federal Government of lacking strategic plan to develop the Niger Delta region, saying the many years of neglect of the area has forced the youths to take up arms against the government. .
The groundswell of opinion here is that the unity of the country will be seriously affected if the Federal Government declares war against the militants of the Niger Delta.
“Nigeria may not be the same again if there is war in the Niger Delta”, says Chekwube Isioma, an undergraduate in one of the universities in the South-South region.

Nigeria economy collapsed: More operators of foreign and local airlines suspend operation

First Nation, a Nigerian airlines on Thursday, September 1, 2016 suspended its operations becoming the second airline in the country to shut down its operations in less than 24 hours.

On Wednesday, Aero Contractors, the country’s 2nd largest airlines suspended its commercial flights in NIgeria indefinitely. The airlines also handed an indefinite suspension to all its staff.

Muhtar Usman, director-general of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, announced the suspension in a statement where he also explained Aero Contractor’s absence from the aviation scene.

Usman said First Nation was in the middle of an engine replacement programme for one of its aircraft.

“Another aircraft is due for mandatory maintenance as is allowable by NCAA,” Usman said.

“In these circumstances, these airlines clearly cannot continue to undertake schedule operations, hence the inevitable recourse to self-regulatory suspension.”

Usman said it is against the Nigerian civil aviation regulations for airline operators to carry out schedule commercial operation with only one aircraft, the reason both Aero Contractors and First Nation had to suspend operations.

He said NCAA would never compromise safety and security of airlines operations in the airspace, adding that every facet of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARS) and Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) must be adhered to with due diligence.

He explained that everything had been put in place to continue ensuring compliance.

Biafrans are the most successful people in Nigeria today - Senator Ben Bruce
Ben Murray Bruce, the senator representing Bayelsa East and the chairman of Silverbird Group, had over the weekend cited the civil war, otherwise known as the Biafran War, as the reason why Nigeria has not grown technologically.

Senator Murray Bruce who was in Aba, stated this on Saturday, August 27, 2016, while addressing the International Youth Day Conference which was organised by the Vision Alive Empowerment under the recognition of the United Nations, UN.

While speaking on the theme, “How To Make A Good Choice While At The Youthful Age,” the senator revealed more about his youthful age stating that the right choice he made during his youth led him to become a successful businessman.

He explained why Nigeria is not growing in the tech world, and why technology is not contributing to the Nigeria’s economy.

“Nigeria is moving backward because they think that they are smart, and they do everything possible to erase the Nigeria/Biafra civil war in the history by burning and destroying all the tech tools which Biafrans used during the civil war,” Bruce was quoted as saying.

“Igbos are the most successful people in Nigeria today, both tech and business, even before and after the civil war, Igbos has been advanced more than other tribes, that’s why the other tribe in Nigeria can’t do without them.”

Furthermore, the senator said, had Nigeria keep those tech tools and maintain the history of the civil war, with the massive tech tools owned by the Biafrans, Nigeria would have excelled worldwide and make a good fortune out of it.

“Look at United State of America today, most of their technology experts are not Americans and most of their tools they use are Chinese owned tools, because during those days Chinese were like slave to them and they see the potentials inside the Chinese and utilized it.

“Likewise, when Nigeria thinks that they have defeated Biafrans during the civil war, that was when General Yakubu Gowon declared ‘no victor no vanquish.’ Had Nigeria kept those Biafran tech tools they used during the civil war and utilized them, you can imagine where Nigeria would have been today in the technology world.

“Nigeria thinks they played a smart deal by burning it and destroying it because they are afraid of Biafra and it has always been their worst nightmare, but they made a big mistake and it has drawn us backward rather than forward in the technology world today.

“Nigeria can’t stand without the South East. Also the Igbos, South East precisely should focus on their God gifted gift and maybe politics isn’t their calling, they have been technologically and Business endowed.

“Igbos are blessed, South East are blessed, only if they can look beyond Nigeria politics and focus on the God gifted talent, they will excel, and be great again.

“Seceding or agitation isn’t the solution only if they can realize their great potentials and focused on it, develop and build South East, look beyond Nigeria politics, since it seems like it’s not their calling,” he added.

Addressing the youths, the senator said, “make a good choice today so that your future will justify you. Stop thinking what a mortal man sitting on the Aso Rock can do for you and start thinking how you can be great to yourself.

Furthermore, every human is gifted only if you can find and develop the potentials in you.”

BIAFRA - EJIKE MBAKA RATED THE MOST ABUSED PRIEST!| A REV. FATHER; A GREAT POLITICIAN AND A GRUDGE BEARER

By Ifeanyi Chijioke
September 01 2016

Come, what is wrong with this man, is he not your priest or has something gone wrong; has he been de-robed? I really don’t understand and please don’t be offended that I am asking you. Yes I asked because he was telling Buhari the other last time that he can’t have someone like Ejike Mbaka and not listen to him. He noted that if such thing is happening then something is wrong somewhere; my concern is Mbaka is no longer being mild or even tactical. He is bluntly begging to be Buhari’s adviser, saying everything and there is need to check where something went wrong. Is he now weird because he fell out with the entire people who used to respect him? Anyway, you can rate Mbaka as the most abused priest of 20162017; don’t doubt the survey, do the rating yourself and you would see that the only priest to have been mostly abused is Ejike Mbaka.

Don’t get this rating twisted or say I am witch-hunting the man; how could I and don’t even think like that; I am a respecter of a sane and upright man. Is Mbaka really sane or crooked? I don’t know but the reality remains that I don’t know him again as someone that used to fight for the masses; he just joined the government and defending the government more than he defends God. What do you expect from a politician if not lies and grudges; Mbaka as a serious politician would only make him a serious liar and a serious troublemaker. I am trying to check another politician mostly abused; yes here comes his political godfather Muhammed Buhari; like father like son. Mbaka was rated the most abused Priest because he left his duty and joined politics; always in the middle of one controversy or another and that destroyed a once respectable priest.

What even caused the rain of abuse? The problem with you religious bigots is you don’t reason. Did he not support Buhari and told you people that he is the Messiah and that with him everything will be fine? And you supported Buhari because the Holy Spirit of God has spoken; behold, there is hunger and there is death after the support. Buhari is the worst thing that has ever happened to you all; the words of the Holy Spirit from Mbaka were all lies. Was that not what caused the abuse and who would you blame, will you blame the people abusing him or blame him that incurred the wrath of the people? Buhari is the most abused politician and due to he is Mbaka’s godfather; he is receiving the blessing of his father. Had things worked out as he said through his Holy Spirit; won’t he be jumping in his adoration ministry and more members coming? But now the game did not go as planned; he is suffering the loss.

He is a Reverend; how the almighty has fallen; were you not there in the past to see how he defended you and boldly preached. He goes into his closet and prays and talks as he was directed and at the end of the day, you realize that he is at peace. But just imagine your Mbaka of today; last time he said that people are dying and are in hunger, the next day, he almost denied everything he said. I don’t understand if Mbaka is a drunk nor was he asleep when he said all he said? The rate he fears being critical of this government; always defending the government against the people. Don’t bother, I am addressing Mbaka de- politician; when it comes to Mbaka de-Reverend, I will shape my lips. I am beginning to doubt a lot of things about him; but there is need to admit he was caught by the devil. Today our respectable Mbaka has turned into a laughing stock; rated the most abused priest of all time. I don’t know how people broke the barriers of the honour Priests carry to have sufficiently abused and brought him to zero. I really pity him and I found out that others have learnt lesson from his mistake or temptation as the case maybe.

Mbaka is a great politician and I can see his political life will be more magnificent than his priestly life. I will not be surprised to hear him announce his resignation as a Priest and carry on with politics because he is determined to touch the lives of the masses. I want you to follow me and understand me because you really have to know the qualities of a good politician. Jonathan was not performing during his tenure and when election came, he called Jonathan but Jonathan messed up by not giving him attention. Mbaka went angry because the masses are in pains and Boko Haram destroying lives; Jonathan was supposed to listen to him but he forgot that Mbaka is a top man that deserves attention. If he talks, the people will listen and for not answering him; I support Mbaka the great politician to have sided Buhari.

Two pigeons were tested and Buhari won; that was the end for Jonathan and the Holy Spirit started talking to Mbaka against Jonathan. As a very wise politician; his preaching began to target Jonathan; the tapes sold among APC faithfuls’ and that was how he became pro-APC; shouting change every day and convincing us that we need change and indeed we needed change. The election came and gone and Buhari won; Adoration ground was buzzing and bubbling; Buhari is answered prayer; lol, indeed a prayer was answered. Whoever knew Mbaka’s joy would short live? That the Holy Ghost change he assured would turn things around would destroy everything and take away the little we enjoyed under Jonathan. With hope that things will shape-in; Mbaka still talked with confidence but as each dawn comes; so does the problem and pain of the people get thicker.

He could not help it recently when he attacked Buhari and warned him that unless he listens to him and take advice from him; nobody will vote for him in 2019. I concur with him; Buhari needs to make him his adviser because Mbaka wants Buhari to succeed more than Buhari wants. The latter will decide his rise and the fall; if Buhari succeeds, Mbaka’s joy would know no limit because he is the child of his fake prophecy or fake prayer. When PDP members and enemies of Mbaka saw his castigation of Buhari; they took advantage of it and made it clear that he has finally compromised Buhari; of course he said nobody would vote for him. As a good politician, he went back to the press and made it clear that he never attacked Buhari and that PDP should forget 2019. Who then will be voted or was Mbaka drunk when he said nobody will vote Buhari and castigated him so much.

Finally; Mbaka has failed to remember he is a priest; he is more conscious of his political life than his priestly life. Jonathan has come and gone and would not come back again; why then the grudge against him? Maybe because Jonathan has never replied him for once and that caused frustration? Yes, it can happen, when you attack and keep attacking someone and he never replied, you then keep attacking to make him talk. I don’t see Jonathan replying because he is good at that; he would only shed tears like those days and meet Redeem church general overseer for counseling. People say Mbaka blames Buhari; Mbaka says no, I blame Jonathan. Buhari is clueless and can’t fix the economy like Jonathan fixed it; Mbaka says no don’t blame Buhari, it is Jonathan’s fault.

The same Mbaka told us that if Jonathan is voted out of office, everything will be fine and when we did what he told us; he is still here obsessed with Jonathan. If Mbaka receives small offering, is Jonathan; if his members could not come to Adoration, is Jonathan. If he is sexually disturbed, is Jonathan; if he is transferred, is Jonathan. If he thinks that what he told us about Buhari is error, it is Jonathan. If Buhari goes to medical checkup, it is Jonathan. Why this grudges against Jonathan, has he not left Nigerian for Mbaka, what is exactly the problem with him? Jonathan pleaded that he wanted to stay; Mbaka said no, that he must go so that things will be fine and now he has gone, we have lost both the little he gave us that we never appreciated. Mbaka I am now begging you, as a Priest and a child of God, please forgive Jonathan that he may rest for you! If you are forcing a reply; Jonathan seriously doesn’t know you exist. Better declare yourself Buhari’s adviser and help him prove your prophecy right.

The founding national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progress Change Rufai Hanga Calls For Dissolution Of Nigeria

Rufai Hanga, the founding national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progress Change, CPC, called for the disintegration of Nigeria.

In an interview with Daily Sun, the Kano-born politician challenged those clamouring for a restructuring of the country to lay their facts on the table, saying it is better for the constituent parts to separate in peace than going into a crisis.

Read the interview below.

From your personal assessment, how has the 8th National Assembly fared in terms of its responsibilities and functions as a law-making organ of the country?

Hanga: I am not happy with what is happening because there is a lot of rumbling between the executive and members of the National Assembly, which is affecting the country. I am not too impressed with the performance of these lawmakers. I don’t know whether their failure is as a result of the circumstance in which they found themselves, but what they have done so far is nothing to write home about. I can’t point at any significant thing they have done this time around. Rather, they are more concerned with protecting their personal interests.

On the side of the executive, how would you assess the support base for the Buhari administration since he assumed power vis-a vis his popularity before the election?

Hanga: Certainly, it is diminishing by the day. That is the home truth. I like Buhari, I support him, but unfortunately, the support base for his government is dwindling by the day. I think this has to do with ill-advice by those people around him. I don’t know whose advice he is listening to, but there are so many things that are wrong. There are so many things that are done wrongly. There are so many things that need to be addressed. Presumably, may be those around him are not advising him well. Some of the people around him are analogue; they have no proper understanding of the present reality. Therefore, he needs to broaden his reach so that things can move on well. People like him, he means well, but then, there is a need for him to open up. I believe he is sincere and he is doing what he is doing in good fate, but like people say, ‘a single tree can never make a forest.’ There are certain things you may feel are not good for him to do, but as a leader, he must take a risk.

The renewed violence in the oil producing region by the Niger Delta Avengers is part of the problems the government has had to grapple with, especially its crippling effects on the economy.

I won’t attribute what I have just said to the Niger Delta crisis. There is a great degree of sabotage in that part of the country. I think some people who are under the watch of the anti-corruption agency are trying to cover up their asses. That is why they are trying to divert attention. Right now, President Buhari is dealing more with Northerners in his anti-corruption war than any other group. More northerners are affected by his anti-corruption war. And as we all know, more of these atrocities were committed in the Niger Delta region. That is where bunkering activities involving several millions of dollars were done. President Buhari is yet to reach out to these people; so, they are doing this to divert the attention of government or sabotage him to make sure he fails. And they are succeeding. They are succeeding because the oil revenue is down so much that confession was made recently by Secretary to the Government of the Federal (SGF) that government cannot implement the 2016 budget because of the dwindling revenue accruing to the federation account. By all economic analyses, if we continue like this, Nigeria will be in a serious recession. And the major cause is the Niger Delta violence activities.

In the light of this, would you support government’s dialogue with the militants?

Hanga: I think the government has already decided on dialoguing with them from what I read in newspapers. Another story I read is that they are being dealt with. So, I don’t know how you can blow hot and cold, and at the same time expect to get the same result. I read that the military is determined to deal with them. And I also read another version saying that the government is dialoguing with them. So, I don’t know which is which. But if it is true that government is dialoguing with them, the government must be careful not to be blackmailed. Whichever of the group rises up, the government can sit and dialogue with it, but there is a tendency for some people to confuse the government because there are several other groups which may also emerge after reaching an agreement with them. If I were in government, I will say, ‘sit down, we are not going to discuss anything with you because you’ve already negotiated with the previous government. This is a new government and you know government is dynamic, let us maintain the agreement you had with the previous government and then we will give you moratorium for so and so months. When everything is calm, then we can come back and continue further negotiation. But if you continue doing what you are doing, then there is nothing for you” This is one of the measures I would have taken if were in government.

You must have also read different opinions on the issue of restructuring which is now on the front burner of national discourse. What is your take on this agitation?

Hanga: People are not telling the truth. When you are talking about a restructuring, let them lay it on the table. What kind of restructuring do they want? Restructuring can mean a lot of things. Most of the people clamouring for restructuring are just saying so without breaking it down. Let them break it down so that we can know the kind of restructuring they want. Let them come out. For me, I don’t know what they mean and I cannot give an opinion on something I am not conversant with. Let them define it and then I will give my own opinion. Right now, when I see some people talking of restructuring, I look at them as non-conformists, I see them as hypocrites who want cheap popularity among the people that are disgruntled. I see some of them as just merely following the train of bandwagon because they hear people saying restructuring.

Let whosoever want the country restructured come out and put it in black and white the way they want the country restructured. I have once given my opinion on this. Even if they want the country divided, I welcome it. True to God, I welcome it because I will rather prefer we separate peacefully to fighting ourselves. One thing I will never support is fighting ourselves, especially over religious division. Religious crisis is the most dangerous thing in all aspects of life because when it comes to religion, nobody reasons. Whether educated, illiterates, semi-illiterates, big, young or old, nobody reasons when it comes to religion. I don’t want any problem with the country. Rather than having an internal crisis like religious or ethnic, I will prefer everybody goes his way. It will be better for everybody to go and start afresh. There are lots of countries that have separated and they are doing fine. If that is what they mean by restructuring, then it is welcome. I personally welcome it than fighting ourselves. I don’t want any crisis. People who are agitating and instigating people don’t know the implication of what they are doing. We should not let such people drag us into a crisis because it is dangerous.

What would you like to say about the arms purchase scandal involving some top military brass?

Hanga: It is an unfortunate situation. If what is being said is true, then I shed tears for Nigeria. If people who are responsible for security, responsible for making sure we have peace could go to that extent of looting, then we should all shed tears for this country. I am always proud to be a Nigerian anywhere in the world but this is very unfortunate.

What is your take on the viability or otherwise of states that can no longer meet their obligations of paying salaries of their workers?

Hanga: If a state is unable to survive, then it is not viable. There are two ways to it. It is either the leaders are misfits, incompetent, can’t sit down and think about how they can generate internal revenue to sustain themselves or the states are not viable.

I will suggest a situation where some states are merged with the viable ones. If they cannot sustain themselves, how can we allow them to remain as parasites? It is too ways. One, it is either the leaders are incompetent to keep the states afloat or the states are not viable.

Biafra: BUHARI’S ATTEMPT TO DIVIDE BIAFRANS USING VANGUARD NEWSPAPER BACKFIRES -Say IPOB

Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari who committed treason on December 31, 1983 has done a very bad job as a propagandist. He did this in conjunction with agents of his own Department of States Services (DSS). Buhari in his “propaganda gone sour“ misadventure must have succeeded in enraging outstanding propagandists such as Joseph Goebbels, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, and Gaddafi’s Moussa Ibrahim. Buhari and his DSS travelled on this road to infamy by creating fake groups and christening them “Indigenous People of Biafra“ with diverse deceptive prefixes such as RE-IPOB, TRI-POB, BUHARI-POB, OKOROCHA-POB, and OHANEZE-POB.

It is also interesting to observe that Vanguard Newspapers volunteered to be the official media outfit for these Buhari/DSS-POB’s. The most intriguing aspect of this dance of shame is the use of pseudonyms that are both outlandish and laughable at the same time. For instance, the spokesperson of the Buhari/DSS-POB’s goes by the name “Ikemba Biafra.“ Recently another fictitious name was concocted as “Jonathan Kurubo“ purportedly from Igbogene, a community close to River Nun in Bayelsa state in Biafraland. In the meantime, these individuals are photo-phobic and have no traces or family history. Buhari and his DSS should have done better than this!

On the contrary, all principal officers and citizens of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu bear their real names and have family history as well as real photographs of themselves. For instance, Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of IPOB and is from Isiama–Afaraukwu Umuahia-Ibeku in Abia state. He is the son of His Royal Majesty Eze Sir I. O. Kanu, the Egwu Ukwu of Afaraukwu. The Deputy leader of IPOB is Mazi Alphonsus Uchenna Okafor-Mefor from Abatete in Idemili area of Anambra state. The Head of Directorate of State of IPOB is Uchenna Asiegbu from Ihetenansa in Orsu area of Orlu senatorial zone in Imo state and he is the son of Late High-Chief Patrick Ezenduka Asiegbu. Dr. Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya is the Coordinator of Coordinators and one of the spokespersons of IPOB and he is the son of Ichie-Inyamkwe Bernard Nsidinanya Iroanya from Obilikpa village of Aro-Ndionyemobi community of Oguta local government area in Imo state. We invite readers of this press release to google the pictures of the above-mentioned servants of IPOB to see their faces. Can we say the same for Buhari’s “Ikemba Biafra“, “Jonathan Kurubo“ and “Chima Phillip Effiong Osuji“?

Buhari and his DSS should have done themselves a lot of good by sticking to their original plan of using identifiable faces such as Gary Enwo-Igariwe, Joe “Judas“ Igbokwe, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, Monday Ubani, and other similar hungry Biafrans instead of cloning these same people with fake names and fake identities just to try a “propaganda stunt“ on IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu. The most ludicrous part was the regurgitation of the expired “divide-and-rule“ strategy of segregating the southern part of Biafraland from the northern part of Biafraland. They tried unsuccessfully to trump up an Ijaw name as the leader of the various Buhari/DSS-POB’s.

By carefully inserting a fabricated Ijaw name as the leader of this non-existent group of reprobates (for RE-IPO, Buhari is looking to generate enmity between the Igbo-speaking part of Biafra and the people of Ijaw. In Buhari‘s warped thinking, he hopes to further make the restoration of Biafra an impossibility by entrenching perpetual enmity among various sections of Biafraland just as Obasanjo and Gowon did through the “abandoned properties“ saga.

On our own part, IPOB Worldwide under the unquestionable and supreme leadership of Nnamdi Kanu will help Buhari and his DSS to re-launch BUHARI-POB for the shameless members of Ohaneze Ndi Oshi na Ama, Rochas Okorocha and a few political jobbers who are not ashamed of their lowly political status in Nigeria. Those thinking that IPOB is a pushover is in for a shock. We shall make them to understand that no amount of divide and rule tactic will prevail. Buhari is playing out a script we already knew he would. On August 10, 2015 the creation of new fake IPOB groups was predicted by our leader, so we are prepared for whatever Buhari and Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership will come up with.

However, the problem for Buhari is his lack of brinkmanship in the area of propaganda and this is because he is intellectually bereft of any iota of creativity. One can understand that from the day Muhammadu Buhari committed treason on December 31, 1983 till this day, he has not improved himself intellectually but he should have hired intelligent people to do the propaganda work for him instead of making a fool of himself in the present circumstance. We STRONGLY advice Buhari and his DSS to desist from making bad examples of themselves as propagandists because they have become a laughing stock with their Buhari/DSS-POB’s.

We reiterate that no amount of fake IPOB groups or uncouth propaganda can stop the restoration of the nation of Biafra!!!
