By Chijindu Benjamin Ukah
Friday 26 August, 2016
This is to alert the world about the incessant kidnapping and summary execution of the principal officers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO, by the Nigerian security agencies, more especially the DSS, Army, Police and SARS.
Before today, 26th August 2016, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, the Biafra land Coordinator and some other Biafrans have been illegally detained by the DSS. Yesterday, August 25th 2016, another set of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPO, were intercepted in the early hours of the day, at Isiala Ngwa area, along Enugu-Portharcourt express way, on their way back from a meeting by a mixture of DSS, Army and SARS numbering over 20.
They were taken to the Army Barrack at Ngwa high school, Aba, where they were interrogated and tortured after which they were taken to their office. But reliable information given to Biafra writers have it on good authority that they were taken to Abuja. The names of those kidnapped yesterday are:
Ikechukwu Ugwuoha,
Asochukwu Ugochukwu,
Sunday J. Okafor,
Joseph Okorie,
Ekene Onuoha.
The Nigerian security agencies have been kidnapping and killing the Indigenous People of Biafra for fighting for self-determination and going scot-free.
Self-determination is a universal law enshrined in the UN charter of the right of the indigenous people, but the Muhammadu Buhari-led government sees it as a criminal offense.
This is getting out of hand, and that is why the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB worldwide is calling on Amnesty International, Human Right Watch and other national and international human right organizations to call Muhammadu Buhari and his agents to release our brethren.
We are also appealing to the Embassy of Israel, Embassy of the United States of America, British High Commission, High Commission for The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Embassy of Switzerland, Embassy of Sweden, Embassy of Spain , High Commission of South Africa, Embassy of the Russian Federation, Embassy of Portugal, Embassy of the Republic of Philippines, Royal Norwegian Embassy, Royal Netherlands Embassy, High Commission of Malaysia, Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Embassy of Japan, Embassy of Italy, Indian High Commission, Embassy of The Federal Republic of Germany, European Commission , Delegation of the European Commission to Nigeria, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Canadian High Commission, Embassy of Austria and other foreign embassies in Nigeria, to call Nigerian government to release our brethren.
Biafrans have taken more than enough inhumanity from Nigerian government led by Muhammadu Buhari and this has to stop. Release our brethren, they are freedom fighters and not criminals.
