Russia had nothing to do with a massive global cyberattack, President Vladimir Putin said Monday, calling for urgent consultations on countering the hackers.

Hundreds of thousands of computers in more than 150 countries have been hit by the ransomware attack, which has been described as the largest-ever of its kind.

The attack began Friday and struck banks, hospitals and government agencies among a variety of other targets, exploiting known vulnerabilities in older Microsoft computer operating systems.

“As for the source of these threats, Microsoft’s leadership stated this directly, they said the source of the virus was the special services of the United States,” Putin said.

Putin was referring to a weekend blog post by Microsoft president Brad Smith stating that the US National Security Agency had developed the code being used in the attack.

“This completely doesn’t concern Russia,” Putin added on the sidelines of an international summit in Beijing.

The US has accused Russia in the past of mounting several cyberattacks.

In March the Justice Department indicted two officials of Russia’s Federal Security Service and two criminal hackers whom they allegedly hired to steal data from some 500 million Yahoo user accounts.

The fast-spreading malware called “WannaCry,” is the first ever detected to combine both a worm — which enables it to burrow into an entire network from a single infected computer — and ransomware, demanding $300 (275 euros) in the virtual currency Bitcoin to unlock systems.

While there was “no significant damage” to Russian institutions such as banks and hospitals, Putin said the incident was “worrisome” and warranted immediate talks “on a serious political level”.

“There is nothing good in this and calls for concern,” he said.

“A protection system from these manifestations needs to be worked out.”

Nigeria Presidency: UK, US Express Full Confidence in Yemi Osinbajo

The United States and United Kingdom has expressed confidence of Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to carry on from where President Muhammadu Buhari stopped in terms of the anti corruption war and the revival of the country’s economy.

Spokesman for the US Embassy in Nigeria, Russell Brooks, said President Donald Trump’s administration believed in Buhari and Osinbajo.

“We are very much in favour of President (Muhammadu) Buhari’s campaign against corruption. We also believe that Acting President (Yemi) Osinbajo is strongly committed to this agenda and will continue to pursue it while President Buhari is out of the country.”

The spokesman for the UK High Commission in Nigeria, Joseph Abuku, corroborated this view.

He stated that while the British Government could not comment on whether any crisis resulting from Buhari’s protracted ill-health would lead Nigeria into political instability, he said the UK had confidence in the President and his deputy.

“The Vice President is acting President in President (Muhammadu) Buhari’s absence. The United Kingdom has full confidence in both he (Osinbajo) and President Buhari. Questions on President Buhari’s health should be directed to his office,” Abuku said.

I Want All Victims Of Nigeria’s Brutality Taken Care Of--Nnamdi Kanu.

The Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra and the director of Radio Biafra/TV, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who was recently released after long incarceration in Kuje Prison in Abuja for seeking self determination of his people, had a meeting with the head of National victim Support officers cum Biafra Writer known As Prisca Chịamaka Abel with respect to the welfare of victims of Nigeria’s brutality since the renewed agitation for Biafra under his command.

He demanded a full brief on the massacre of Biafrans while he was in detention especially the Nkpor carnage, how the victims are currently faring and also efforts made in ensuring that the families of those murdered are well taken care of as instructed. In response, the support officer explained to him the hapless situation that some of the IPOB brethren are still facing; "some are still lying helplessly in different hospitals, some rendered homeless and others still incarcerated in various prisons across the contraption called Nigeria" she answered.

On hearing the narration of the gory experience our people are passing through in the hands of the Islamic government of Buhari, the IPOB leader vowed to ensure that every single victim of Nigeria’s brutality is well taken care of so as to forestall any hostile situation that may arise as a result of it, and to also strenghten their resolve in the Biafra restoration project.
He further added, "I am back, everything will be put in place accordingly because I don't want any of us to feel abandoned; we must try to bring back their trust and hope. I'm aggrieved to hear or see them suffer. They are there because of the love they have for me and our nation Biafra, and for that reason I must not let them down."

In conclusion, he instructed all victim support officers to set out in search of our victimized brothers and sisters, and to ensure they put smile on their faces. He also told them to make sure that all outstanding bills are made on behalf of those who are yet to be discharged as a result of their inability to offset their bill.

Biafrans from different works of life have continued to pay solidarity visit to the leader of IPOB worldwide Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. However, yesterday being 13th May 2017, IPOB Igweocha Riverine zone paid a solidarity visit to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Ohamadike 1 of Biafra Land and the lion of the tribe of Biafra.

The solidarity visit which was led by Mazi Onyebuchi, Mazi Samuel Nzeh, Mazi Thankgod and Mazi Tochukwu, received a laudable attention as the massive crowd was seen chanting Biafra songs all the way, making all nooks and crannies of Umuahia to vibrate in jubilation.

The massive crowd of IPOB Igweocha Riverine zone was gladly received by the parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Eze and Lolo lsrael Okwu Kanu, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and wife, his brother Emmanuel Kanu, and the entire Royal family.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his address to the representatives that met him privately reassured the visiting crowd that Biafra is already here. "We are without fear before our enemies, Chukwu Okike Abiama has ordained all of us here to come and restore Biafra and that is why the zoo must fall. "Biafra will come under our watch, we shall all see Biafra and the time is now here. I will not fail you for victory is ours. May Chukwu Okike Abiama guide all of you back home. I will come and pray in Igweocha", he said.

The father of IPOB leader Eze Israel Okwu Kanu also in his own speech while addressing the crowd was overwhelmed with joy as he showed profound gratitude to Chukwu Okike Abiama for leading us safely to Isiama Afara-Ukwu Ibeku in Abia state and also prayed that He lead us back to our respective destinations. Other members of the Royal family also spoke with greatful heart to welcome our presence. The leaders of the zone also rendered their own speech on behalf of the visiting crowd reassuring IPOB leader of their unflinching support to his leadership and Biafra restoration. At the end of the day everybody went home fulfilled.

Real Reasons Gov't dropped History from Nigerian school curriculum!!!

Never mind the official story - That Prof Babs Fafunwa, an educationist & one-time Education minister, dropped History to encourage students to take up science & tech courses. NO! Pure lies. How has Nigeria fared in science & tech decades after? What have we invented? How come American history is taught at all levels from kindergarten, yet it has not stopped America from being a tech giant? Wake up Naija!!

Fafunwa was only used as a willing tool for a political cover up. The REAL REASONS Nigerian History was dropped are:

1. They don't want you to know that Uthman Dan Fodio was a migrant who arrived & was welcomed as guest by the Hausa king of Gobir. He later attacked, killed and took over his host's kingdom!!! Just as Boko Haram & Maitatsine tried to do in modern Nigeria. So, BH, Fulani herdsmen & Fulani jihad are leafs from the same tree.

2. They don't want you to know that the British deliberately rigged the Nigerian political system, using the constitutions of 1922 to 1960 to sow the seeds of rivalry & disunity & stop Nigeria from being truly independent.

3. They don't want you to find out how the Northern people's congress willfully disbanded the Action Group by pitting Akintola against Awo to weaken the opposition during the First Republic.

4. They don't want you to find out that the North was the first region to want secession in 1953 following the first motion for self rule in the parliament. Northern reps opposed this motion and were booed & derided by the Lagos media. Northern leaders threatened to pull out of Nigeria!!!

5. They don't want you to find out that the 1964 elections were so rigged by the NPC government and when Awo protested he was tried & jailed for "treasonable felony"

6. They don't want you to find out that the first coup of Jan 1966 was not an Igbo coup. It was a patriotic coup by young officers who wanted to save their failing country from corrupt politicians. These officers were only so naive that they failed to "balance" the ethnic composition of their group and their victims. They were subsequently framed as igbo coupists.

7. They don't want you to discover that Yakubu Gowon was merely the gentle face of a terrorist Northern government. He was handpicked as a Christian and used to cover up genocide. He stood idly by and watched as thousands of Igbos (everone from the old south east) were attacked & killed all over Nigeria. Yet when the unwanted Igbos decided enough was enough & wanted secession, he started preaching about "keeping Nigeria one."

8. They don't want you to discover that "unity" was not the real reason the federal govt fought the civil war. It was OIL!!! Leaders of the north had decided to seceed after the July 1966 coup. Aburi Accord was mutually agreed as a first step to separation. It was only after the British High Commissioner met with Gowon and told him that oil would be an important mineral later that Gowon repudiated the accord and made war inevitable.

9. They don't want you to discover that the creation of states in 1967 was not to encourage development. It was purely to divide the South East and prevent its other ethnic groups from forming a common front with the Igbos. Today, the same ethnic groups are treated like colonized peoples with no value except the oil in their land!!!

10. They don't want you to discover that the people of Port Harcourt were promised free inheritance of the houses & assets of Igbos in exchange for ditching Biafra & supporting Nigeria. Today, we see the consequences.

IN SHORT, THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO THINK, BECAUSE HISTORY FORCES YOU TO THINK & AND ASK SENSITIVE QUESTIONS.
