NNPC mega stations increase fuel price by N4/litre
By Daniel Adugbo | Publish Date: Nov 4 2016 20AM
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has increased the pump price of petrol at its retail outlets by N4 from N141 to N145 per litre.
Though the new N145 price remains within the maximum price cap fixed by the federal government in May, this is the first time fuel at NNPC’s outlets will be sold at that price.

Before now, prices have been hovering between N143 and N141 per litre at NNPC and affiliate stations in major cities and even less at stations in the hinterlands.
Daily Trust reports that prices have been N141 in last few months until Tuesday when it was raised to N145.
In Kano and Lagos our correspondents report that the price of fuel has hit N145 per litre at NNPC Mega stations.
Spokesman for the NNPC Garba Deen Muhammad said there was no rule that compels any marketer including the NNPC to sell at a particular price.
“A price regime was introduced between N135 and N145. So, you can sell anywhere within that range. What you are seeing is interplay of market forces.

It’s cheaper to import petrol than refine locally — Kachikwu On March 14, 20168:35 pmIn EnergyComments By Michael Eboh The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has said that at the moment, importing Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol, is cheaper than producing the product in the country’s refineries. THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES, DR EMMANUEL IBE KACHIKWU THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES, DR EMMANUEL IBE KACHIKWU Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Kachikwu disclosed that until the upgrade and total refurbishment of the refineries are concluded, as well as ensuring that the pipelines are fixed, it would be uneconomic and very expensive to refine PMS locally. He maintained that local refining of PMS would make much more economic sense if all the refineries undergo full set of repairs and Turn-Around Maintenance, TAM, and when new refineries are set up in the country through co-locative initiative. He said: “Most modern refineries are configured in such a way that your stock of PMS outage is a lot higher, 70 to 80 per cent. So when we do import the product, we actually save money; we get it less expensive than when we do it here. “But having said that, the reality is that until we have alternatives in terms of co-locative refineries which we are looking at; until we finish the total refurbishment to improve and upgrade the refineries, it does not make sense to use it with some of the deficiencies. “This is because distribution is key. If you have product in Kaduna for example, pumping into the north becomes easy as opposed to moving, as we do whenever we have a crisis – trucks all the way from Lagos and Oghara, out to the north.” Kachikwu further noted that even if the current set of refineries were working on a 100 per cent basis, they would only be able to account for 20 million litres of PMS per day, about 50 per cent of the country’s total consumption. This means that the country would still resort to importation to meet up with the shortfall. He said: “The way the refineries are configured right now, and until a full set of repairs and TAM are done, they are configured on the basis of 50 per cent of PMS and 50 per cent other products. So even if they were producing on a 100 per cent basis, which they are nowhere near producing right now, PMS output would be less than 20 million litres. Our consumption is closer to 40 million. So we will still have, literarily, 50 per cent gap.”

What happened to the $200 billion dollars we recovered from UAE?
Buhari does not know how to form a party or run one - Alhaji Tanko

On January 19, 2016, the Buhari led administration signed a bilateral agreement with the government of United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The agreement was aimed at facilitating the extradition of corrupt officials hiding stolen funds stashed in Dubai banks.

Two months later, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission declared that they and the office of the Attorney General were embarking on a trip to the oil rich gulf state to repatriate the looted funds.

EFCC officials had said the money was about $200 billion dollars!

EFCC’s acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu and the minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami had embarked on the trip.

An EFCC source had disclosed that “Yes, the AGF and the EFCC chairman with some top officials of the anti-graft agency are in Dubai for a follow-up technical session on the Mutual Legal Assistance between Nigeria and the UAE.

“I can confirm the official trip and it is meant to recover looted funds,” the source added.

“The Federal Government team has met with those from the UAE on intelligence sharing.

“They have compiled the list of those on EFCC radar. The list also has quite a number of highly-placed Nigerians with fat accounts in UAE and those with choice properties in Marina (Dubai), Bur Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha,” another source said.

“The success of the collaboration between the Federal Government team and the UAE Government will determine when EFCC will release the concessions on some of these PEPs.

“Very soon, we will unveil these ex-political office holders,” the source added.

To coolaborate the story, Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani had recently revealed that Nigerian officials had stashed over 200 billion dollars in Dubai alone.

Curiously, the Federal Government has some $200 billion stashed away somewhere and they know about it.

Pray, why not just withdraw the $30 billion being sought for from there? What even happened to that visit? Did they recover the loot?

THEY SO –CALLED IGBO ELDERS & NNAMDI KANU THE SMALL BOY

By CHINASA NWORU
3rd Novermber, 2016

The emergence of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB is one of the greatest shock and mind- blowing dreams ever witness by the so called Igbo elders. will I say, they never saw it coming or is it the small boy mantra that clouded their sense of reasoning when the small boy came out of the blue. I think they never saw this small boy coming because that is how destiny works .

I have always ask myself why is it that the so called Igbo elders never believe in their children who have travelled wide and far .Beside ,they told us that “a traveler is wiser than an old age”. If not the Nigeria circumstance we found ourselves ' Nnamdi Kanu should by now have grand children .But they so called Igbo elders taught by calling Nnamdi kanu a small boy will have negative attribute or effects to the struggle for the restoration of Biafra rather it makes people to believe in the small boy more than before.

For those of you so- called elders calling Nnamdi Kanu a small boy, have you ever ask yourselves how old is Nnamdi Kanu? How old is Uche Mefor? How old is Uchenna Asiegbu? How old is Emma Nmezu? and many more die hard Biafrans who have championed this Biafra struggle to this stage that unseats your evil activities in Biafraland. What do you elders know and What did IPOB know?

If they so-called elders can glorify these small boys Messi, Ronaldo etc in the sport sphere but cannot glorify any of their kinds what does that mean? You glorify Obama who took power at the age of 47yrs,you glorify Bill Clinton who took power at the age of 46yrs, you bow to the youngest ever American president Theodore Roosevelt who became a president at the age of 42years still, you call Nnamdi kanu a small boy.

In the Arab world, the present Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamin is 36years and is leading his people to be on top of the world stage and you people will prostrate for him at any given time you come across him but for you Nnamdi Knau is a small boy.

Matteo Renzi the present Italian prime minister is 41yrs, Justin Pierre James the present Canadian president is 45yrs, while Kolinda Gradar , Croatia president is 48yrs, to mention but a few ,for you so called Igbo elders all those world leaders mentioned above are all big people while Nnamdi Kanu is a small boy . This small boy is more intelligent, wiser and very educated than all those mentioned above.

But for the clear reason that you so called –Igbo elders have dwell long in the home of evil, some of you are holding B.SC in Jealousy , some PHD in the field betrayal, a lot are professors of Saboteurs and evil practices you cannot see the leadership crown on Nnamdi Kanu who have come to liberate his people including you so called elders. Within the shortest period this small boy emerged he has restore the dignity , integrity and identity of his people which you people have sold long time ago. You so called Igbo elders sold the future of your children for peanuts and for the fact that this small boy Nnamdi Kanu came to restore all that you have sold ,that is why your pain and agonies are unmeasurable.

Finally I will like to draw this line for you so -called Igbo leaders, you don’t have much option to choose from now onward, IPOB and the small boy do not really care about your stand on the Biafra struggle because you have killed your children, you dance , dine and urinate on the graves of our brothers and sisters together with the enemies of Biafra, you have shared the blood money paid by the enemies and laugh at your children with your shoulders high, it is time for your reward, choose from now on, death or exile because we ,the small boys will not feed you fat in the prison, in fact there is no prison for you people in Biafraland unless you change your evil ways.

To this end, we Biafrans would like the small boy Nnamdi Kanu to remain small in your eyes till Biafra is restored.

It is Biafra or we all die fighting for Biafra

FULL TEXT OF THE ADDRESS DELIVERED BY THE EKITI STATE GOVERNOR, MR AYODELE FAYOSE DURING A MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF THE MIYETTI ALLAH CATTLE BREEDERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA TODAY, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2016.
I welcome you to this meeting, which is in furtherance to our quest to find a lasting solution to the menace of herdsmen and safeguard the lives and properties of all residents of Ekiti State.
Interestingly, I am wearing two caps today because I am addressing you both as the governor and also as a cattle farmer. Many of you might be unaware that I also rear cattle like you. I have 83 cows too and I have told the person taking care of them that if he goes against the law and any of them is seized, he will be responsible.
Like I have maintained, I do not have anything against the Fulanis or any tribe in Nigeria. It is on record that during my first term, I appointed a man from Malunfashi as a Special Adviser. This term too, I appointed Musa Kanga into the Pilgrims Welfare Board, a Igboman is a councillor in Ward 10 and Ado Local Government.
Rather, my concern as a governor and custodian of the popular mandate of Ekiti State is to protect the lives and properties of all residents of the State, irrespective of their tribe, religion and political party.
It is in pursuit of this vital responsibility of government that we have chosen to control cattle grazing in Ekiti State and it is being done in other civilised countries of the world. Or are cattle breeders leading their cattle across city centres and major roads, with the cows defecating everywhere in cities like London, New York, Paris, or even Accra in Ghana and Mecca in Saudi Arabia?
Let me therefore reiterate that there is no going back on the total enforcement of the Prohibition of Cattle and other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti State Law, 2016, which came into force on August 29, 2016. It is a law that all residents of Ekiti State must obey.
A situation where herdsmen go about with arms is not acceptable to us here in Ekiti and herdsmen found with arms will be arrested and charged with terrorism.
If we are encouraging our people to embrace farming by giving lands to them to farm through the creation of Land Banks in the 16 Local Councils, and many of them have borrowed money to invest in farming, when these farmlands being cultivated with borrowed funds are destroyed by herdsmen, who are also engaged in their own form of farming, how do we get others to embrace farming?
In Oke Ako-Ekiti last May, two persons were killed, people’s wives raped by those hiding under the guise of rearing cattle and I expected then that leaders of the Miyetti Allah will show greater concern, but that never happened.
I was therefore miffed when I read in the newspapers that the Miyetti Allah threatened a reprisal attack on the government and people of Ekiti State and I, as the one the people elected to provide them must not shy away from that responsibility of protecting the people against any aggressor.
When I heard that you were coming to invade our land, we were also prepared for you people because I am not one of the governors that are afraid of anyone.
Some people, because of politics took leaders of Miyetti Allah in Abuja to the Presidential Villa and I ask them, is Ekiti the same as Abuja? Is Senator Babafemi Ojudu who met Miyetti Allah in the Villa in Abuja the governor of Ekiti State? Did he take any step when his own people were attacked and killed?
As I speak to you today, I am reiterating that Ekiti people and all residents of the State will be protected with everything within my power. That is my duty as a governor and I will perform it without fear or favour.
I however appreciate the fact that you have now seen reasons that you should cooperate with the government to enforce the anti-grazing law. I am glad that you have now realised that strict compliance with the law is in the interest of all of us.
On the claim that the Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshals were shooting cows, let me state here that it is a white lie from those whose interest is bitter politics.
As cattle farmers, which I am one, we must realise that we are not different from other farmers. We are not also different from other businessmen who own business premises where they transact their businesses. If fish farmers are providing their own ponds and poultry farmers building their own pens, while also buying feed for their animals, there is no reason we as cattle farmers should not also provide our own ranch and feed our cows without encroaching on other people’s farmlands and properties.
Therefore, you have a duty to join in the crusade to free our State from the menace of herdsmen. You must expose those hiding under cattle grazing to perpetrate crimes like armed robbery, murder, rape and wilful destruction of people’s properties.
It was in view of this new approach that I directed the suspension of activities of the Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshals (EGEM) till today, so as to enable the free movement of your cattle to designated ranches in the State and I am sure that must have been done.
Today, I am giving cattle farmers in the State 14 days to register with traditional rulers in the communities where they are operating while the traditional rulers will forward the registered herdsmen to the State government.
Once again, I thank you for your support and as your governor, I make bold to say expressly that even as cattle farmers, it is my duty to protect your lives and properties and no matter the situation, I will never shy away from this responsibility.
Thank you.

Assange: Clinton & ISIS funded by same money, Trump won’t be allowed to win (JOHN PILGER EXCLUSIVE)
Published time: 4 Nov, 2016 050
Edited time: 4 Nov, 2016 06:35

In the second excerpt from the John Pilger Special, to be exclusively broadcast by RT on Saturday, courtesy of Dartmouth Films, Julian Assange accuses Hillary Clinton of misleading Americans about the true scope of Islamic State’s support from Washington’s Middle East allies.

In a 2014 email made public by Assange’s WikiLeaks last month, Hillary Clinton, who had served as secretary of state until the year before, urges John Podesta, then an advisor to Barack Obama, to “bring pressure” on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, “which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL [Islamic State, IS, ISIS] and other radical Sunni groups.”

“I think this is the most significant email in the whole collection,” Assange, whose whistleblowing site released three tranches of Clinton-related emails over the past year, told Pilger in an exclusive interview, courtesy of Dartmouth Films.

“All serious analysts know, and even the US government has agreed, that some Saudi figures have been supporting ISIS and funding ISIS, but the dodge has always been that it is some “rogue” princes using their oil money to do whatever they like, but actually the government disapproves. But that email says that it is the government of Saudi Arabia, and the government of Qatar that have been funding ISIS.”

Assange and Pilger, who sat down for their 25-minute interview at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where the whistleblower has been a refugee since 2012, then talk about the conflict of interest between Clinton’s official post, which held throughout Obama’s first term, her husband’s nonprofit, and the Middle East officials, whose stated desire to fight terrorism may not have been sincere.

Assange: WikiLeaks did not receive Clinton emails from Russian govt (JOHN PILGER EXCLUSIVE)

John Pilger: The Saudis, the Qataris, the Moroccans, the Bahrainis, particularly the first two, are giving all this money to the Clinton Foundation, while Hillary Clinton is secretary of state, and the State Department is approving massive arms sales, particularly Saudi Arabia.

Julian Assange: Under Hillary Clinton – and the Clinton emails reveal a significant discussion of it – the biggest-ever arms deal in the world was made with Saudi Arabia: more than $80 billion. During her tenure, the total arms exports from the US doubled in dollar value.

JP: Of course, the consequence of that is that this notorious jihadist group, called ISIL or ISIS, is created largely with money from people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation?

JA: Yes.

Pilger also questioned Assange over increasingly frequent accusations from the Clinton camp, and Western media, that WikiLeaks is looking to swing next week’s US presidential election in favor of Donald Trump – perhaps at Russia’s behest.

But Assange dismissed the prospect of Trump, who is behind in the polls, winning as unlikely – and not necessarily due to his standing with the electorate.

“My analysis is that Trump would not be permitted to win. Why do I say that? Because he has had every establishment off his side. Trump does not have one establishment, maybe with the exception of the Evangelicals, if you can call them an establishment,” said Assange. “Banks, intelligence, arms companies, foreign money, etc. are all united behind Hillary Clinton. And the media as well. Media owners, and the journalists themselves.”
