Intersociety Blasts FG for Trump - Buhari Phone Call Hoax, Says its a "Diplomatic Blunder"
- Feb 15 2017

The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, InterSociety, says it is most unlikely that President Donald Trump of the United States, U.S, had a telephone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari who is on a medical vacation in London.

It noted that the statement by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, announcing the phone conversation is “grossly one-sided, circumstantially untenable, diplomatically blundered and grossly un-Trump-like”, stressing that such diplomatic conversations can only take place between two mentally coherent and bodily agile presidents.

Recall that virtually all leading local and foreign news outlets were on Monday evening awash with news of Trump speaking with Buhari and inviting him to Washington at a mutually convenient date.

Trump was quoted, in the telephone call, as encouraging President Buhari to keep up the good work he is doing; commended Buhari for his efforts in rescuing 24 of the Chibok Girls and the strides being taken by the Nigerian military. Both leaders were also quoted as discussed ways to improve cooperation in the fight against terrorism through the provision of necessary equipment.

President Trump was also said to have assured the Nigerian President of the readiness of America to cut a new deal in helping Nigeria concerning military weapons to combat terrorism.

But doubting the credibility of the reported conversation between the two presidents, Intersociety, in a statement by its Board Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi; and Head, Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law Programme, Barr. Obianuju Igboeli, accused the presidency of lying.

It advised Nigerians not to believe Adesina’s statement until the White House authorities and the United States Department of State concur with the content of Adesina’s statement from Washington DC, and confirm all that the Nigerian presidency reported Trump as telling Buhari.

“Of all the trending and unfolding dramas associated with the whereabouts and true health status of President Muhammadu Buhari, the latest is gravely disturbing and diplomatically weighty; capable of causing serious diplomatic rows between Nigeria and the new Donald Trump Administration in Washington; if found to be an extension of trending presidential falsehood,” InterSociety said.

The human rights group believes that the claims “may most likely have been presidentially corrupted and made an extension of trending presidential falsehood in Nigeria and expanded into presidential falsehood across borders.”

It continued, “Such diplomatic conversations can only take place between two mentally coherent and bodily agile Presidents. If the Nigerian President is that bodily agile and mentally coherent, why is he not on seat in Nigeria? Not even the defence of ‘doctors’ advice and results of medical tests’ can keep a hale and hearty President off his presidential seat for three weeks running, if he is truly hale and hearty, to the extent of having such weighty diplomatic conversations with the world No. 1 President at this point in time.

The same new US President said to be calling President Buhari was factually seen globally receiving the Prime Minister of Canada at the White House and at the same time or hour of the purported long diplomatic conversations with President Buhari.
“Common sense and circumstances have also made mockery of the authenticity that would have been attached to such diplomatic conversations.

The aspect of diplomatic calls to President Buhari from President Donald Trump at this point in time, if true, can only be pitiable or sympathetic calls and on health grounds. This is owing to the fact that all is not well with President Muhammadu Buhari wherever he is; leading to his transfer of presidential powers and functions to his Vice President. Since there is a coherent acting President on seat in Nigeria, such weighty diplomatic calls should have been appropriately directed to the acting President.

“Circumstances may most likely not have been ripe for new President Donald Trump to say those things Deacon Femi Adesina credited to him. Most importantly and strikingly, the statements under reference are monolithic in source; having only come from the mouth of Mr. Femi Adesina, who is co-enmeshed in trending presidential falsehood and associated dramas in Nigeria concerning the true whereabouts and health status of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“In all, we at Intersociety make bold to say that presidential falsehood in Nigeria may most likely have gone beyond borders in the subject matter under advocacy discussion. This is more so when some APC chieftains said to have gone to meet President Muhammadu Buhari in London have just debunked going to meet with him.

“Unless the authorities of the White House and the United States Department of State speak in concurrence and authoritatively from Washington DC; confirming all that Mr. Femi Adesina said President Trump said to President Muhammadu Buhari. Otherwise, we ask all Nigerians to ignore the statements or accept them with a pinch of salt. Not even a concurrence statement from the US Embassy in Nigeria can expressly be convincing and acceptable to all and sundry.

“This is because of the likelihood of the Embassy being contaminated by trending presidential virus or falsehood, or in the name of ‘diplomatic pressures’. Funny enough, the same Mr. Femi Adesina that barely knows where his boss is or visits or joins him wherever he is, has suddenly appeared in the presence of his boss to record what he discussed with President Donald Trump.”

JUST IN: I Am Dying!!! I Am No Longer Enjoying My Stay In London – Buhari Cries Out
JUST IN: I Am Dying!!! I Am No Longer Enjoying My Stay In London – Buhari Cries Out

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, said he is no longer enjoying his stay in the United Kingdom, UK.

Buhari who spoke through his Media Aide, Garba Shehu, made the statement in an interview with Channels Television, in Abuja .

He said the President was no longer “enjoying his stay’’ outside the country.

“As a matter of fact, we should be getting ready to see the President flesh and blood, and that will be as soon as possible.

“The President (himself) is looking forward to being home, to be with his people.

“I don’t think he is enjoying any longer an extended vacation outside the country,’’ Shehu said.

Commenting on the President’s telephone conversation with the United States, US, President, Donald Trump, the Spokesman said it was “undiplomatic’’ for anyone to demand for the release of the audio recording of the conversation.

According to him, releasing an audio containing the telephone conversation between two Presidents, is highly unethical, and against modern civilisation.

“No, I don’t think so; I don’t think it is permitted in international diplomacy. I think if we had recorded Mr Trump in this conversation, it would have offended our diplomatic relations.

“I think the Americans themselves would not have recorded this conversation of President to President,’’ he said.

On the President’s medical test results being expected from Doctors, Shehu said he had no information on whether the President had collected the results or not.

“No, we have no information on that (test results). If he had received them, he would have been on the plane back home.’’

Shehu added, that there was not enough time for the two Presidents to discuss other continental and international issues.

He however, expressed optimism that the conversation would boost bilateral relations between Nigeria and the U.S.

“Well, there wasn’t enough time to talk about everything. I think the point at what will follow, is in the invitation that President Trump has extended to our President (Buhari) to come over.

“That is the kind of opportunity that was presented to Nigeria, to put all the issues on the desk.

“As for their immigration policy, I think our President has been clear about one thing – the choices made by the Americans as to who to lead them, in this case, Mr Trump, is entirely their own choice.

“We have no business interfering with their domestic affairs.

“As to the countries that have been barred, it has been clearly specified, and Nigeria did not feature on the list,’’ he stressed.

Recall, that Buhari proceeded on a medical vacation, on January 19, and wrote to the Senate, that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, would act in his absence.

His absence which has stretched beyond the initial 10-day request however, has generated speculations about his health condition, in spite of the fact that he wrote the Senate again on February 5, for an extension of the leave period.

Igbo Presidency 2019: Read What Atiku Said After Meeting with Babangida

Abubakar has said that the decision on whether it is the turn of the South East to have a shot at the presidency in 2019 lies with Nigerians.

Fielding questions from journalists after a more than two hours closed door meeting with former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida at his uphill residence in Minna on Tuesday, Atiku said such sensitive decision is a collective one.

Asked if the recent position of his former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the subject would subsists, Atiku said it was for Nigerians to decide.

He said that the restructuring of Nigerians is not up to an individual to decide but for Nigerians to decide, “It is up to Nigerians to decide on the restructuring on Nigeria.”

When asked on his advice to the Federal Government on the state of things in the country, the former vice president said he cannot do so through the pages of newspapers.

Marginalization: Nothing to show Igboland is part of Nigeria – Okorocha tells Osinbajo
Marginalization: Nothing to show Igboland is part of Nigeria – Okorocha tells Osinbajo

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday raised alarm over the alleged marginalization of the South-East, saying there is nothing to show that the region is part of the Nigerian project.

Speaking during the visit of the Acting President, Yemi Osibanjo, the governor stressed that the region had been short-changed, especially in the areas of appointments and allocation of Federal projects.

According to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, “No other group in Nigeria that had invested as much into our nationhood can sing the song of marginalisation as much as Ndigbo has been made to sing it.

“We have nothing to show that we are part of the Nigerian project; neither do we have any sense of belonging in the present government at the national level.

“We have been marginalised both in terms of projects and appointments. In Imo State, for instance, all we have is a Minister of State to show for all the efforts and extreme sacrifices we made to ensure that the All Progressive Congress (APC) had a good outing in the last general elections.

“I know you are the Acting President and has the ears of the President. So, there is no better person to tell our painful story than you. You need to take a second look at what is happening in the South-East. No serious political appointment, no visible federal infrastructure so far, to show the presence of Federal Government in the South- East in general.

“I beg that as the government gives subsequent appointments, let the qualified sons and daughters of the state and region be considered.

“Those in business should be considered for federal patronage.

“Imo State played major role in bringing APC to power because if what had taken place in other states was allowed to happen in Imo State and other states in the South-East, probably we wouldn’t have had the APC government today.

“Given the roles that I personally played as a sacrificial lamb in the South- East during the elections, my state deserves a better deal.

“There is no Federal Government presence in the oil-producing areas, and none of our youths benefitted from the Federal Government’s Amnesty Programme.

“I also use this opportunity to ask for the quick refund of the money spent by the state on Imo International Cargo Airport and on some federal roads in the state.”

"No I don't have a date but I believe the President himself is looking forward to coming home to be with his own people. I don't think he is enjoying any longer his extended days outside".

He also responded to a question on whether the presidency will releasing the audio of President Buhari's telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump yesterday February 13th.

BREAKING: Few Hours After Release, Biafra Leader, Benjamin Onwuka Announces Date To Declare Independence

Barely 24 hours after he was released from prison, the leader of the Biafra Zionist Federation, BZF, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka has vowed to restore the Republic of Biafra by March 15, 2017.

Onwuka had three years ago stormed the Enugu Broadcasting Service with intention to make a live broadcast, in order to declare Biafra.

But midway, security operatives acting on a tip-off, stormed the broadcast station and rounded up twelve of the BZF members, including Onwuka. ‎He was, thereby, incarcerated for three years.

However, few hours after regaining his freedom, Onwuka, exuding much confidence, told journalists at a press briefing in Enugu on Tuesday that there was no going back on Biafra.

He stressed that the re-enactment of Biafra Independence stemmed from the diplomatic relations his group, the BZF, had establised with America, the Great Britain and some other world powers.

“The state of Biafra will be announced on March 15, 2017 by the Zionist Federation. I, Ikedi Benjamin Onwuka will be leading Biafra. I will be the President of Biafra.

“The work we have done underground permits that America will endorse the Independent state of Biafra in March 15, 2017; we expect that this will come with the endorsement of President Donald Trump”, he stated.

Onwuka further claimed that ex-President Barrack Obama of the United States of America, approved the policy for an independent state of Biafra on October 15, 2014 and also garnered support for Biafra from Great Britain, France, Israel, Russia and some other world powers.

He said it was incumbent on President Donald Trump to implement the action “since a siting President in America usually do not ignore foreign policies established by their predecessors.

“My confidence on President Donald Trump endorsing the restoration of an Independent state of Biafra hinges on the fact that ex-President Barack Obama made the approval.

“Since 2015, Biafra has been accepted worldwide due to diplomatic groundwork. Without America’s support, there will be no Biafra. Now that we have gotten America’s support, Biafra Independence is realizable.”

He attributed the failure to realize the Biafra project in 1967 by the late Biafra leader, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, to lack of diplomatic relations with world powers.

Those Wishing Death On President Buhari Will Die Before Him - SGF Lawal

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has proclaimed that those wishing death on Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari will die before him.

There have been rumors about the president's death after his departure to London on a medial vacation.

"Nigeria can only change when we support the government and do our bit and not allow ourselves to be used as agents of destruction and political thuggery," he said on Tuesday.

He added that those fighting the current administration were those who benefited from past proceeds of corruption.

“Shamelessly, they accused the president of not performing. And in fact, some of them wished him dead. But, I can assure you that by the grace of God, he will outlive all of them,” he said.

South Africa: Zuma To Begin Presidential Campaign For Ex-Wife To Replace Him

Last month, Oriental Times reported that President Jacob Zuma will be endorsing his ex-wife, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma following his assertion that he wouldn’t be vying for a third term, and that his political party is ready for a woman President.

The South African President has now decided to start campaigning in support of his ex-wife, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as the next president to take over from him in 2019.

According to reports from sources within his political party, President Jacob Zuma summoned KwaZulu-Natal ANC chairperson, Sihle Zikalala to inquire why the province is yet to start drumming up support for Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as the next president.

After much deliberation, a source said: 'Zuma told Zikalala to go do the work that is expected of him.'

BOMBSHELL: Russia Deploys Missile, Violating Arms Treaty and Challenging President Trump

Russia is said to have secretly deployed cruise missile in violation of a landmark arms control treaty that helped seal the end of the Cold War, US administration officials say. The move presents a major challenge for President Trump, who has vowed to improve relations with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and to pursue arms accords.

The missile is said to be in violation of a 1987 treaty that bans American and Russian intermediate-range missiles on land. A 1987 treaty bans American and Russian intermediate-range ground launched missiles.

In 2014 it was announced the ground launched cruise missile had been tested.

Former US President Obama had previously tried to convince the Russians to correct the Cold War treaty violation while the treaty was still in its test phase.Instead, the Russians have moved ahead with the system, deploying a fully operational unit.

The US administration now believes Russia has two battalions of the banned weapons.

One is still located at Russia’s missile test site at Kapustin Yar in southern Russia near Volgograd.

The other was shifted in December from that test site to an operational base elsewhere in the country, according to a senior official who did not provide further details and requested anonymity to discuss recent intelligence reports about the missile.

American officials had called the cruise missile the SSC-X-8. But the “X” has been removed from intelligence reports, indicating that American intelligence officials consider the missile to be operational and no longer a system in development.

Donald Trump is yet to respond to the violation by Russia.
