President Trump Nominates Neil Gorsuch As Supreme Court Justice

US President Donald Trump has nominated Neil Gorsuch as the a Supreme Court Judge of the United States.

49 year old Gorsuch is the youngest Supreme Court nominee in 25 years. Gorsuch was named as a replacement for late Antonin Scalia who was one of the nine judges of the SCOTUS, until his death in 2016.

If confirmed by the senate, Gorsuch will restore the court to the conservative tilt it held with Scalia on the bench.

President Trump refuses to allow his officials or surrogates to appear on what he called FAKE NEWS networks, so they’ll no longer be allowed on CNN.

The White House has refused to send its spokespeople or surrogates onto CNN shows, effectively icing out the network from on-air administration voices.

“We’re sending surrogates to places where we think it makes sense to promote our agenda,” said a White House official, acknowledging that CNN is not such a place, but adding that the ban is not permanent.


A CNN reporter, speaking on background, was more blunt: The White House is trying to punish the network and force down its ratings.

“They’re trying cull CNN from the herd,” the reporter said.

Administration officials are still answering questions from CNN reporters. But administration officials including White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and senior counselor Kellyanne Conway haven’t appeared on the network’s programming in recent weeks.

Spicer, speaking at an event at the George Washington University on Monday, denied that CNN was being frozen out, pointing out that he’s answered CNN’s questions in the regular daily briefings.

But, he added “I’m not going to sit around and engage with people who have no desire to actually get something right.”

The last time an administration official was on CNN’s Sunday public affairs show “State of the Union” was Conway on January 8. She also appeared on CNN the following Wednesday with Anderson Cooper, the same day as then President-elect Trump’s press conference where he derided CNN for publicizing an unsubstantiated dossier claiming the Russians had salacious information about him. At the press conference, the president-elect refused to take a question from CNN correspondent Jim Acosta, who shouted out to him.

After his inauguration, Trump has continued blasting CNN as “fake news.”

Since then, Conway, Spicer, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and even Vice President Mike Pence have made the rounds on the major Sunday shows but, notably, CNN’s “State of the Union” has been cut out. READ MORE

President Trump has reportedly authorized US Congress to pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton, even if that means she ends up in prison.

Chairman of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Jason Chaffetz, told members of the committee that a recent meeting between him and the President revealed a desire by Trump to ensure Hillary Clinton receives whatever justice she deserves.

Chaffetz told members:

“President Trump visited Philadelphia when we were at our planning and strategy session.

I went backstage with the President here’s what he said:

‘You do a great job. Listen, I understand I’m the president and you have a job. You do the oversight. Don’t slow down. Go after everything you want to go after. You look at everything you want to look at.’


If you sat there and heard what he said to me about pursuing oversight and government, you would be inspired. And for him to convey a message of ‘don’t slow down,’ I think was a good message.”

The news that the President support’s the criminal investigation comes just days after the Oversight Committee ordered FBI Director, James Comey, to hand over the contents of Hillary Clinton’s email server.

Trump’s words will likely bolster their resolve in exposing any criminal wrong doing by the former Secretary of State in their continued investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

“This was never a political targeting in the beginning and just because there was a political election doesn’t mean it goes away,” Jason Chaffetz told reporters earlier January. “There were a lot of other characters that were involved in this that we have to look at.”

Nigerian Army Arrests 3 APC Governor Associates Over Alleged Links to Boko Haram

About to two powerful politicians in Borno state and a traditional ruler have been arrested by the men of the army over suspected links to Boko Haram terrorists.

The names of the politicians are being withheld but TheCable reported that they are close associates of an APC governor.

The third - a traditional ruler is also said to be the first son of another prominent ruler in the state.

The Cable reported that the latest arrests were confirmed by Lucky Irabor, a major general and Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, the counterinsurgency team of the army without further details.

“It is true we have arrested some people. They may be known faces. We started picking them one by one. We’re taking them now and we are still investigating them so I can’t give you any detail,” he said.

The politicians were arrested early this week by detectives and troops from Operation Lafiya Dole.

One of them, who is also an Islamic spritualist, fled the state but was arrested along Maiduguri-Jos road, sources told TheCable.

The second politician was said to be a thug (called ECOMOG) and an aide to some politicians in the state.

Donald Trump's Administration, A Threat To Us - European Union

The president of the European Union, Donald Tusk, has classified Donald Trump's new administration as a threat to the European Union alongside Vladmir Putin's Russia, China, Terrorism and radical Islam.

In a letter sent to European leaders on Tuesday, Tusk wrote that factors such as Trump's ban on immigration, increased friendliness with Vladmir Putin, publicly blasting NATO and “worrying declarations by the new American administration all make our future highly unpredictable.”

U.S President Trump has at one point called NATO "obsolete," dismissed the 28-member EU as a "vehicle for Germany" and publicly said he's had "a very bad experience" with the EU as a businessman.

Tusk wondered whether the United States would maintain its commitment to European security under Mr. Trump’s leadership.

“For the first time in our history, in an increasingly multipolar external world, so many are becoming openly anti-European, or Eurosceptic at best,” Mr. Tusk wrote. The letter was released ahead of an E.U summit meeting in Malta on Friday; and Tusk is responsible for setting the agenda for the meetings.

“Particularly the change in Washington puts the European Union in a difficult situation; with the new administration seeming to put into question the last 70 years of American foreign policy,” he wrote.

“An increasingly, let us call it, assertive China, especially on the seas,” he wrote, “Russia’s aggressive policy toward Ukraine and its neighbors, wars, terror and anarchy in the Middle East and in Africa, with radical Islam playing a major role, as well as worrying declarations by the new American administration all make our future highly unpredictable.”

"We cannot surrender to those who want to weaken or invalidate the Transatlantic bond, without which global order and peace cannot survive. We should remind our American friends of their own motto: United we stand, divided we fall."

Guntram B. Wolff, director of Bruegel, a research organization in Brussels said the E.U shouldn't enter into a war of words with the Trump administration.

“We need to uphold our values here, but does it mean that we need now a declaration where we put the United States on the same level as ISIS?”

Nigerian Army Sentences Soldier To 7-Year Imprisonment For Killing Civilian In Borno

A general court martial (GCM) of the Nigerian Army, has sentenced Hassan Adamu, a lance corporal, to seven years imprisonment, after finding him guilty of manslaughter.

Olusegun Adeniyi, a brigadier general, announced the sentence at a sitting in Maiduguri, Borno state capital, on Wednesday.

Adamu, a driver, was said to have shot one Umar Alka to death, following a disagreement at the Monday market in Maiduguri.

The tragic incident was said to have occurred on December 23, 2015.

Witnesses, who testified in the proceedings, told the tribunal that the deceased died on the spot after Adamu shot him.

Abubakar Abacha, father of the Alka, told the tribunal that he received a distress call that a soldier killed his son on the said date.

Abacha added that he arrived the scene and found corpse of his son, with deep hole passing through his chest.

He said the deceased lived a good life.

In his ruling, Adeniyi said Adamu had been found guilty.

“Having found you guilty of the offence of manslaughter and having listened to the plea by the defence counsel, looking at the punishment provided by sections 105 and 119 of the armed forces Act cap A20, laws of the federation, the court, hereby, sentences you to seven years imprisonment,” Adeniyi held.

“The sentence is, however, subject to confirmation by the confirmation authority as provided by Section 152 sub-paragraph 1A of the Armed Forces Act.”

If your religion teaches you to hate anyone --- you need a new religion. Oh wait -- it doesn't say anything about hating... you are just going to let a book written over 2000 years ago dictate basic rights -- let me ask you this --- when did you choose to be straight? IF you say that I choose to be gay, then you insinuate that at some point I made a conscious choice. Therefore everyone gay, staight, bi or trans must have made that same conscious choice.... When did you choose to be straight?? Furthermore, ever heard of the 1st amendment?? Read it again -- what place does religion have in the law books? All we are asking for is equal recognition under the law -- but go ahead -- make me a second class citizen - I will still pay my taxes (gay men are among the highest taxed individuals as we have no chance of a tax break - ie head of household, married filing jointly, etc.... we are always required to file single!!) IF something happens to my partner of over 12 years, his family (whom he has not had any contact with for over 10 years) can come into our home and take everything away from me.. everything he and I have worked for over a decade of our lives..... let this happen to you, as a straight couple on a regular basis, and THEN you can come at me and tell me that gays are being unreasonable, in asking for marriage equality!

Whether this is fake news or not – the statement is very true. The Word of God – the Bible – is very clear ab out homosexuality. It is an abomination to God, and He condemns it.
God designed romantic partnerships and marriage to be between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN. Anything outside of that is essentially a mockery of God’s plan and design. It is sexual perversion – plain and simple, and God abhors it.
