I Love Igbo Men Because They Have A Sexy Accent - Brycee Bassey

Nigerian actress, Brycee Adia Bassey, in a chat on Isoko Africa Podcast declared her fascination for men of Igbo descent.

In a rather surprising revelation, she unapologetically declared how much love she has for Igbo men and their accent.

“I particularly love Igbo accent, Igbo men’s accent, I think they are sexy, I don’t know why, don’t laugh, but I love them.”

In the same vein, she disapproved of the Akwa Ibom accent, claiming that she would never stoop low to learn the language, even if it is to save her life.”Akwa-Ibom accent, I cannot fake that accent to save my life”, she quips.

IPOB May Take Up Arms, We Can't Fold Our Hands And Get Killed Unjustly - Nnamdi Kanu's Brother

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPO may be forced to take up arms in its agitation for a Biafra state if what it described as the continued killing of its unarmed and defenceless members continues.

The threat is coming on the heels of the alleged killing of about 11 IPOB members in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, who were said to be celebrating the inauguration of President Donald Trump of the United States of America last Friday.

In a statement yesterday, Prince Kanu, the younger brother of detained leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, reaffirmed that Biafra is an ideology that cannot be crushed, adding that by killing unarmed, defenceless IPOB members, Biafra had not been killed.

“Undeniably, the primary aim of these killings by the Nigerian government is to weaken Biafra and all involved in this struggle for the restoration of Biafra but that is Nigeria’s biggest mistake. For we are highly formidable, unbreakable and indivisible and we get stronger by the day. The entire Biafraland remains spiritually and mentally stable to fight this battle come rain come shine, no matter the tribulation.

“Now, information getting to the IPOB structure looks as if this will metamorphose to arms struggles, for we can’t continue to fold our arms and watch our family members being slain unjustly,” he said.

While calling on the international community to be aware of the renewed killing of defenceless IPOB members by the Nigerian army, Kanu however said those involved in the heinous crime would not go unpunished.

Pro-Trump Rally: S'East Senators Condemn Killing Of Biafrans In P'Harcourt, Say It Clearly Questions Nigeria's Unity
The South-East Senate caucus, yesterday, condemned the alleged killing of unarmed members of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, said to be holding a pro-Trump rally in Port Harcourt, Rivers State by members of security agencies.

The South-East Senators have also called on the Federal Government to carry out a holistic investigation into the allegations of deliberate application of excessive force by security agencies in the containment of peaceful assembly, particularly when groups from the South East are involved, with particular reference to the latest action.

In a statement in Abuja, weekend, Chairman of the South East Caucus, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe noted that security agencies applying excessive force in a peaceful rally was reprehensible and questioned what the Senators called an emerging pattern in the containment of peaceful assembly in Nigeria.

Abaribe, who noted that the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended provides for the freedom of association and the right of the people to freely assemble to express their common interest, said: “The last time I checked, that section of the constitution is still intact and has not been amended. It is therefore worrisome that the rights of a section of Nigerians would be so wilfully denied with such extra force.

“If the report of killings by the security agencies were to be confirmed, it would no doubt leave a gaping hole in the unity of this country.

This is one regrettable action too many, coming against the backdrop of the recent report of the Amnesty International, AI, of mass killings of people from the same section of the populace in Nigeria.”

I thought GEJ's leadership was bad, I was wrong - Obasanjo

Former president Goodluck Jonathan paid a private visit to former president Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday in Ogun State.

Recall that right before the 2015 general elections, both leaders had had a very frosty relationship.

The height of which was when both wrote open letters to each other accusing themselves of one thing or the other.

Well, OBJ showered praises on former President Goodluck Jonathan for his exemplary leadership.

Both leaders had a closed-door meeting that lasted almost two hours.

It was a sharp contrast from his constant criticism of the former president in the last couple of years.

Jonathan was accompanied by former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki as well as other close aides.

Obasanjo spoke to the press after the meeting.

He tasked leaders across the world to learn from the exemplary leadership style of himself and that of Jonathan.

“I believe that the world will continue to tap into our experiences our wisdom.

“I expect a call will be made on you soon to put your experience and lessons you learned for the service of this country.
“I have said to you (Jonathan) before that there are plenty of opportunities out there, within the country and the world.

“There is coming a time when people will want you to make contributions.

“I believe that you (Jonathan) are resting now and when you have fully rested, you will be hearing from me.

“This is because I have this opportunity to be around the world and I will mention your name in dispatch.

“Since you (Jonathan) left office, you hardly have time to sit down and relax like you have been able to do today.

“I sincerely hope and pray for more of such relaxed situation where we can reminiscence situations of the past.

Edward Solomon wrote this Epic post I saw on Yochy feed:-
"They won't protest against Saudi Arabia and its misogynistic policies towards women, nor against Iran.
They won't protest against the Islamic State treatment of Yazidi women.
They won't protest against Assad's barrel bombs on Syrian female civilians.
They won't protest against the sex slavery of Nigerian Christian girls by Islamic radicals.
They protest instead against the democratically elected president of the United States of America.
Spare me the sanctimonious claptrap. These and more are the very reasons why Donald Trump was elected. They are the same reasons why he will likely be re-elected in four years because the liberal-progressive elitist cosmopolitan snobs will still want to tell us how to think, how to speak, how to vote.
Enough"!
