Message From Reno Omokri To Fr. Mbaka - Were You Ordained To Defend Buhari Or Helpless Nigerians

Dear Reverend Fr. Mbaka, The wife of an evangelist was beheaded-you kept quiet. Her suspected killers were acquitted-you kept quiet. However, today you have find your voice to defend President Muhammadu Buhari and condemn former President Goodluck Jonathan.

As a Reverend Father, were you called by God to speak for a man who has 5 media aides and a minister of information all speaking for him or where you called to speak for the poor and powerless children of God who face injustice with no one speaking for them?

ALERT! Operation Python Dance In South East: Military Set To Unleash Terror On IPOB, Others

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the recent launch of Operation Python Dance in the South-East and the threat to deal with them as “an attempt to divert attention and a diversionary measure to free itself from the indictment, condemnation and criticisms it has roundly received over the Amnesty International report that criticized their barbaric activities in South-East states. It is also a plot to kill more IPOB members.”

IPOB said “the report is unsettling the military in Nigeria and outside Nigeria because of its involvement in the senseless and avoidable killing of innocent Igbo. They should bury their face in shame over their unsuccessful attempt to deny their barbaric killing of innocent, unarmed and non violent IPOB members, other Biafra agitators and non agitators.”

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Emma Powerful, alleged that “the Federal Government, through the military and South East Governors have connived to unleash another terror on IPOB members and other Biafra agitators and innocent citizens, less than six months after the killings they are trying to deny but without success.”

According to the statement, “this Operation Python Dance is not necessary in any part of South-East because the area already has peace and security, and does not need the army and its checkpoints which they will turn to toll gates for making money. The Federal Government of Nigeria and the Army Defence Headquarters have stationed the military in every part of the South-East to snuff life out of all IPOB members and Biafra agitators in South-East and South-South.

“However, we are going to hold the South-East governors responsible if any life is lost in the South-East, because the Federal Government of Nigeria and Defence Headquarters cannot afford to bring the military equipment in all the parts of South-East without the consent of the governors.”

Ex-Militants Attack In Imo Leave 11 Dead

Suspected former militants attacked Umuokeduru and Imeni communities, both in Ohaji Egbema local government area of Imo state.

The hoodlums were said to have killed 11 people and set most of the buildings ablaze.

According to The Nation, the armed thugs stormed the communities in the night when the villagers had gone to sleep and started shooting sporadically.

An indigene of one of the communities, speaking under the condition of anonymity, said the attack might not be unconnected with the former militants’ anger against the alleged partiality in the State Amnesty Programme.

The source said: “The ex-militants were said to be angry with the handling of the Amnesty Programme. They accused the state government of sidelining majority of them after they renounced militancy and surrendered their arms, in line with the state government’s Amnesty Programme.”

Another indigene said the former agitators attacked the communities of two of their former commanders who were allegedly camped in a hotel by the state government and placed under stipend without their knowledge.

The source added that the former agitators became angry when they found out that they have been betrayed by their leaders.

Meanwhile former militant commanders under the aegis of National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators have rejected the entire 16 point demands presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by leaders and representatives of the region led by elder statesman, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clarke.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, leaders of the region including governors, traditional rulers and elder statesmen, converged at the Presidential Villa where they presented the 16 demands of the region to the President behind closed doors.

Nigerian Oil Magnate, Abiodun Ajayi Dupes Obasanjo Of N105m

An oil magnate, Chief Salimon Abiodun Ajayi, was arraigned at a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta by the Ogun state Police on Tuesday for fraudulently obtaining the sum of N105 million from a company, Alarab Properties.

The company is a subsidiary of Obasanjo Holdings Limited (OHL), owned by a former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Ajayi, the Balogun of Ijemo in Abeokuta South Council Area and owner of the popular Rantipe Petroleum, was charged to court on a three-count bordering on forgery, fraud and stealing.

The police prosecutor, Sunday Eigbejiale, said the accused fraudulently forged the Sidipon Community Power of Attorney and fraudulently used same to obtain N105 million from Alarab Properties.

Eigbejiale told the court that the accused obtained the huge sum in the sales of 67 acres of land at the Sidipon village, along Abeokuta- Sagamu Expressway. The police prosecutor said the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 419 revised law of Ogun State 2004.

Ajayi, however, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.

Chief Magistrate Oriyomi Sofowora admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The Magistrate thereafter adjourned the case till December 20, 2016.

World's Oldest Person Says 'Being Single' Is The Reason She's Still Alive (Photos)

* 'I eat two eggs a day, and that’s it. And cookies. But I do not eat much because I have no teeth'

The oldest woman alive, who lives on raw eggs and cookies, is celebrating her 117th birthday.

Emma Morano, who was born on 29 November, 1899, is believed to be the only person alive who has witnessed three centuries.

The brandy-drinking Italian woman, who has credited her old age to being single and getting to bed early, reportedly said “My word, I’m as old as the hills”, when she was crowned the world’s oldest.

“I eat two eggs a day, and that’s it. And cookies. But I do not eat much because I have no teeth,” she said, in an interview with AFP last month.

The supercentenarian says she started the habit of eating two raw eggs, and one cooked egg, every day, aged 20, when she was diagnosed with anaemia.

Ms Morano, who does not eat meat partly through fear of contracting cancer, has lived alone since she left her violent husband in 1938 shortly after the death in infancy of her only son.

World's oldest person reveals key to long life

“I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone,” she said.

The former factory worker and cook, who took on a full-time carer and has been bedbound since last year, has not left her Verbania apartment on Lake Maggiore in 20 years.

She has outlived all her eight younger siblings and now proudly boasts the Guinness World Records certificate, declaring her the oldest person alive, on her marble-topped chest of drawers.

“People come. I don’t invite anybody but they come. From America, Switzerland, Austria, Turin, Milan … They come from all over to see me,” she said.

She is not sure whether she will eat any birthday cake, adding: “The last time I ate a little, but then I did not feel good.”

Ms Morano is apparently alert, but is very deaf, speaks with difficulty and cannot see well enough to watch television.

Her physician, Carlo Bava, has branded Ms Morano’s longevity as a “phenomenon”.

On her birthday, journalists, relatives and the town mayor will visit, while a local theatre will perform music over three centuries and a dramatisation entitled: “The woman who saw three centuries”.

Ms Morano is still a few years off the current record holder, France’s Jeanne Calment, who met Vincent Van Gogh while a teenager in Arles, but who died in 1997 aged 122.
