Respect Dialogue, Navy Tells Niger Delta Militants
November 6, 2016 News

The Nigerian Navy has asked the Niger Delta region especially militants still operating in the creeks to embrace and respect the ongoing dialogue between the region and the Federal Government.

The Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command, (CNC), Rear Admiral Mohammed Garba, spoke at the weekend when he led a medical outreach to Etegwe community, Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

Garba argued that if militants failed to embrace dialogue and continued with their criminal activities, they would lose public sympathy. He explained that the free medical rhapsody was part of the Navy’s corporate social responsibility aimed at boosting civil-military relations.

Garba said: “I expect the people to remember that struggle is not drawing a line and make it look like a kind of crusading spirit. There must be ways of reaching compromises and concessions.

“And you can only reach those compromises and concessions through dialogue. The government has already given room for dialogue, so let them embrace it. If they embrace it, it is better for the society and Nigeria at large.

“But if they refuse to go into dialogue, there might be a tendency that that sympathy they are gaining from the people will be lost and it means they are now surrendering the call for peace to chaos and violence which is not good for the society.”

He noted that the medical mission was one of the key priorities of the Chief of Naval Staff to bring the navy closer to the people within the maritime environment. He said the free medical mission was carried out monthly to test and treat health challenges of the people such as malaria, typhoid fever, high blood pressure, diabetes, among others.

Garba said: “It will be delightful to let you know that today is the sixth time we are offering free medical services to communities in Yenagoa and environs. The CNS is instrumental to the sustenance of this rhapsody every month.

“Navy is a part and parcel of the community. We feel we are blood brothers. So, one Nigeria is a vital issue to all the military personnel. That is why we feel that we must have a way of reaching the communities though this medical rhapsody and inauguration of projects.”

In his response, the Paramount Ruler of Etegwe community, King Todumema Geoffrey, said the free medical mission was the first in the history of the community.

The monarch asked youths to desist from pipeline vandalism and destruction of critical national assets, saying that such tendencies would not bring development to the Niger Delta region.

“We want to appreciate the Navy for the gesture. I want to warn those involved in blowing up pipelines and other criminal activities to desist from such acts. They are uncalled for. We need development in our region,” he said.

Social media users sabotaging Buhari’s efforts – Lai Mohammed
By Wale Odunsi on November 6, 2016@dailypostngr

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the deliberate spread of false information via the Social Media has negatively impacted on the federal government’s efforts to keep Nigerians informed of its activities.

“Everyday, this group of people deliberately distort our messages while also suffusing the atmosphere with their own version of information,” Lai Mohammed said in a speech at a Colloquium organized by the National Coalition of Apostolic Leaders in Lagos yesterday.

He stated that in order to ensure that Nigerians got undiluted and correct information, the government had resorted to taking its messages directly to the people using the Town Hall Meeting format.

“We are aware that it is not just enough to do something, you must be seen to be doing it. In other words, the activities of government are as important as communicating them. That is why this Administration places much premium on communicating with the people.

“Mixing the traditional means of communication with the modern ones, we are reaching out to the people through radio, television, newspapers and the all-powerful Social Media to keep them abreast of developments in these three broad areas”, he stated.m

He said the government was also aware that feedback was one of the essential elements of good communication, adding: ”It is not enough for a government to talk to the people, the government must also hear from them.”

Mohammed thanked the Nigeria Coalition of Apostolic Leaders for organizing the State of the Nation Colloquium, but urged them to sustain it.

GBAGAM!!! Hillary Clinton Will Win US Presidential Polls, Says TB Joshua

Barely 48 hours to the US. Presidential election, General Overseer of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua, has predicted that the Democrat candidate, Hillary Clinton, will emerge victorious ahead of the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

In a Facebook post on TB Joshua Ministries, Sunday, Joshua said: “Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win.

“The new President will be facing several challenges over many issues, including: passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President.

“The boat of the new President will be rocked.

“By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman.”

Duterte's Words Point to 'Serious Shift' in Foreign Policy Toward Russia, China

The Philippine leader never minces words when referring to US politicians. The question is whether the Philippines and its President are equally committed to having good relations with Washington. Rodrigo Duterte earlier said that he was preparing a dramatic change in its foreign policy and that he planned to cancel a defense cooperation deal with the US. “I will break up with America," Duterte declared in a speech earlier this year, adding that he would rather "go to Russia and to China." Even though some of these statements were later disavowed by top members of his administration and by Duterte himself, it looks like the Philippine President is really committed to the idea of forging closer ties with China and Russia. “If [Duterte] really means what he says, we may see a serious shift towards a more balanced foreign policy which has in mind not only the US but Russia and China as well,” Vladimir Svedentsov, a political analyst at the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies told Sputnik. According to the president, the Philippines may well find other sources to buy weapons if the US refuses to cooperate. "Russia and China are ready to supply us arms. Russian diplomats told me: ’Come to Russia, we have everything you need,’” Duterte said. According to Pyotr Tsvetayev, a Moscow-based political scientist, Russian arms supplies to the Philippines have the potential of becoming a major area of mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries. “We have already showed them our warplanes, helicopters and Igla MANPADS, but until now they had been bound by their defense cooperation pact with the Americans,” Tsvetov said. Time will show whether the Philippine President’s plans to buy Russian arms are sheer rhetoric or a well-thought out program. The US State Department halted the sale of the M4 assault rifles to Philippines police over concerns about reported human rights violations in the bloody war on drugs initiated by Duterte earlier this year.

BREAKING: CLINTON SENT FUNDS DIRECTLY TO SAUDI ARABIA TO ARM ISIS TROOPS AGAINST U.S.
Nov 05, 2016
by admin in DIASPORA

Hilary Clinton and her team have done an amazing job this election cycle, but not the job they would have liked. No, Hillary and her team of crooks have instead set records in corruption, collusion, and pay-to-play deals.

And now, after the FBI reopened the Clinton investigation, new documents have become openly available. One particular document is of specific interest, as it shows a partnership between Clinton and none other than Saudi Arabia!

Saudi Arabia is well known for its oppressive Sharia law that allows men to rape women and Christians to be executed by public beheading.

It is extremely important that you fully understand the evil that is Saudi Arabia. They have crippled the Middle East with Islamic jihadists fueled by hatred. They kill in the name of Allah and have planned a global takeover.

This is not an exaggeration. Taking a look back in history makes it glaringly obvious. Islamic States have been attempting to take over the world for centuries. However, until oil became important, Middle Eastern countries weren’t powerful enough to fight on the world stage.

And that’s just what we are now witnessing. Saudi Arabia has grown into a global power for Islamic evil and extreme jihad. Its rich oil fields have led to an economy healthy enough to fuel hundreds of thousands of militant Muslims. What’s even worse, Saudi Arabia is versed in Sunni Islam, the largest and most powerful sect of Islamic culture.

The document outlining the horrible connection between Hillary and Saudi Arabia shows their partnership is far worse than anything we could have imagined. Hillary’s Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills was responsible for assisting in all top policy decisions. She was Hillary’s “right-hand woman” and did her dirty work.

Acquitting Of Mrs. Bridget Agbahime’s Killers Has Shown That Nigerian Judiciary Is For Sale.- CAN
6th November 2016 May30 Nigeria.

Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, has been called upon to reopen the case of the Igbo trader, Mrs. Bridget Agbahime that was recently murdered in Kano State for alleged blasphemy.

The Christian Association of Nigeria in the 19 northern states and Abuja just expressed dissatisfaction with a recent judgment acquitting five suspects in connection with the killing of Mrs. Bridget Agbahime in Kano State for alleged blasphemy.

CAN LogoAgbahime, 74, was killed on June 2 by an irate mob in Kofar Wambai Market, Kano State and the five suspects: Zubairu Abubakar, Musa Abdullahi, Dauda Ahmed, Abdullahi Abubakar and Abdulmumeen Mustafa were let off the hook.

The state Public Relations Officer, CAN, Rev. John Hayab, told journalists in Kaduna that the judgment had brought the judiciary into “further disrepute.”

The CAN official called on the Attorney General of the Federation to, as a matter of urgency, call to order the Attorney General in Kano to ensure that justice was seen to be done in the case.

Hayab noted that the action could encourage people to take laws into their hands because, according to him, evil was seen to be unpunished and many other groups “will be tempted to harm or kill innocent citizens under any and every false guise since they can buy their freedom from the courts.”

Hayab gave the assurance that the association would not relent in spite of the judgment already passed, until justice was seen to have been done, while encouraging Christians and other members of the public to remain calm, as “all avenues will be explored to ensure that justice is done.”

Give Buhari Time To Respond To Our Demands, Clark, Attah, Pleads N’Delta Militants
November 7, 2016 News

Leaders of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark and Obong Victor Attah, have asked people of the region and the Militants to give the federal government time to respond to the 16-point demands presented to President Muhammadu Buhari last Tuesday.

In an interview, Chief Clark recalled that the President had promised to study their demands and get back to the leaders. He, however, advised the Presidency not to tarry for too long before responding to issues raised in the forum’s position paper.

“As Mr President said, they are going to study our documents. So, we are waiting for them and we do hope it will be early response because the boys themselves have spoken today that they were happy with what we went for and the government should act immediately.

‘’We have our body, PANDEF, we would be in contact with the Minister of State (Petroleum) from time to time. So, the President too recognized that, and we too acknowledged it, that the Minister of State for Petroleum, is the bridge between us and the government.

“The President should not sit on our demands for too long. These things must be attended to as soon as possible because this opportunity that we had on Tuesday may not arise again. If nothing is done for some time and you ask Niger Deltans to go and see Mr President, they may not go, which would be dangerous. “When government threatened to go with force to the Niger Delta, oil production fell to about one million barrels per day.

The minister said the other day that since we have been talking to our boys and since we have been able to discuss with the government, the oil has gone up to about 2.1 million barrels per day.

‘’So, that is the present position, and with the fall in oil prices, you need the quantity to make up. So, if the federal government decides to take the other way round of trying to attack or occupy our communities, killing people and so on, it would be very disastrous. It will not be in anybody’s interest,” he warned.

On his part, Obong Attah said in the meantime, there was need for confidence-building on both sides, adding that the best way for government to do that was to immediately set up its own dialogue team to interface with the group.

“If you read that presentation properly, the essence of it is to say to Mr President, we have to build confidence on both sides. The militants in the creeks must trust that the government is determined to do something about changing the situation that they find themselves in today.

‘’The government must feel that the militants are prepared to lay down their arms and accept dialogue as a means of solving the situation. So, this confidence-building is one of the key issues and the first thing that needs to happen to demonstrate that government will set up its own dialogue team without any delay.”

‘’When the government does that, everybody would know that yes, government is now prepared to talk and find solutions. What we went there with were just issues that we know if discussed and resolved satisfactorily, would bring peace.

‘’So, it is not as people think. Yes, there are suggestions, there are even demands, if you like. Such things as please stop gas flaring! How can anybody suggest that gas flaring should continue in today’s world with this global warming and the devastating effects that we are seeing in it? ‘’Ask the International Oil Companies, IOCs, to relocate to their places of operation.

That makes sense to everybody. Find a way of training these militants and transiting them into proper jobs. ‘’Give a robust ICT programme for them to go in so that they can make themselves entrepreneurs. Agriculture too is very important. These are the kin.

Donald Trump two points ahead of Hillary Clinton in poll that has accurately predicted last three presidential elections

Most polls predict the Democrat candidate winning, including another new national survey which shows her soaring to a double-digit lead

Donald Trump is narrowly leading Hillary Clinton in the race to become US president according to a new poll, which has been the most accurate predictor of America's last three elections.

The Investor's Business Daily/ TIPP tracking poll showed the Republican candidate with a two percentage point lead over Democrat Ms Clinton on Saturday.

But 16 days before the national vote, Ms Clinton had a 95 per cent chance of winning according to a Reuters/Ipsos electoral-vote analysis, also released on Saturday. Another new poll had the Democrat soaring to a double-digit lead over Mr Trump.

Hillary Clinton won every debate but gap is narrowing, polls find

Analysts have said the results of the IBD/TIPP poll are surprising. Statistics on how 11 national polls performed in the last three elections rank the survey top, but the likelihood of so many other polls all being wrong is extremely low.

The IBD/TIPP predictions suggested Mr Trump could secure 42.1 per cent of the vote, while Ms Clinton would only get 40.8 per cent.

The poll surveyed 783 likely voters. It reflected the rolling average of six days’ worth of polling, with a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.

Donald Trump wants one last debate with Hillary Clinton before election

Respondents were asked how they would vote in a four way race, with Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein included. They got seven per cent and three per cent support respectively.

On Sunday morning Mr Trump tweeted a link to the poll results. Critics said he was "cherry-picking" polls to claim a lead he does not really have.

Less surprising were the demographic trends shown by the new poll.

According to IBD/TIPP data Mr Trump does better than Ms Clinton among men (48 per cent to 34 per cent), lower income voters (48 per cent to 35 per cent), rural voters (60 per cent to 22 per cent), and those who identify as religious.

Ms Clinton beats Mr Trump with women (46 per cent to 38 per cent), voters aged 18 to 44 (41 per cent to 34 per cent), the wealthy (47 per cent to 38 per cent), and investors (48 per cent to 38 per cent).

Ms Clinton has been described by US media as acting as if the presidential race is all but won, while Mr Trump himself admitted it was his “last chance”.

On Friday The New York Times described Ms Clinton as “working to ensure a victory that is decisive enough to earn a mandate for her presidency.”

The Washington Post reported: “Emboldened by polls predicting an electoral-college landslide in the presidential race, Clinton is shifting her strategy to lift up other Democrats coast to coast.”

Although the new data appears to suggest Ms Clinton has assumed victory prematurely, polling experts have said it is extremely unlikely the IBD/TIPP poll will prove to be correct. It is more likely polls showing Trump leading are outliers, either by statistical chance or by an error in their design.

Many things can go wrong in polling and even the stated margin of error only means 95 percent of the time the true value will be within that range. Five per cent of the time polls are expected to be way off.

Two other polls have shown Mr Trump leading in recent weeks: Rasmussen and USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times.

The USC/LA Times poll was expected to produce different results to most because of its unique methodology, the Huffington Post reported.

Researchers asked: “What is the percent chance that if you were to vote, you will vote for Clinton, Trump, or someone else?”, instead of the usual “Who would you vote for?” question.
US election 2016: the race for the White House in pictures

Meanwhile, Rasmussen polls often lean more Republican than other surveys. Some critics speculate this is intentional, but it could also result from the surveys landline-heavy automated polling methodology.

The IBD/TIPP poll has particularly surprised analysts because it is highly regarded and has previously performed extremely well.

However, experts have cautioned that even the best polls can suffer errors.
