CNBC reported that the system is called MogIA, and it was founded by Sanjiv Rai, the founder of Indian start-up Genic.ai. The system takes in 20 million data points from public platforms including Google, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in the U.S., and then analyzes the information to make a prediction.

This system was created in 2004 and has gotten smarter every election. It has already correctly predicted the results of this year’s Republican and Democratic primaries.

Nigeria's External Reserves Falls 2.8% To $23.948bn In October


Nigeria’s external reserves fell by 2.8% to US$23.948 billion as at October 27, 2016, compared with the US$24.615 billion it was as at September 27, 2016, as attacks of oil installations continues in the Niger Delta region.

The latest external reserves position released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the reserves derived mostly from the proceeds of crude oil sales fell by $667 million in the last month, as the country’s earnings continued to shrink.

In spite of the recent appreciation of crude oil price in the global market, quantity shock impacted negatively on allocation to the three tiers of government for the month of September was shared about a fortnight ago as the spate of attacks on oil installations and pipeline vandalism showed no sign of abating.

240 Boko Haram Members Surrender To Nigeria Military


No fewer than 240 members of Boko Haram sect have surrendered following sustained ground and air raid at their hideouts by the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).

The Task Force, made up of soldiers from Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon, had embarked on Operation Gama Aiki to flush out the insurgents from the countries.

A statement by Colonel Muhammad Dole, Chief Military Public Information Officer, said the mass defection took place in Sector 2 Area of Responsibility (AOR) Bagasola in Chad.

Most of the insurgents handed over their arms to the nearest locations of the ground forces in the operation areas.

The statement added that the soldiers had succeeded in blocking logistics supply routes to the insurgents causing the Boko Haram members and their families to abandon their locations and surrendered.

It said defectors are being profiled and camped in Bagasola where they were addressed by the Commander MNJTF, Major General Lamidi Adeosun.
