“We (customs) are giving Nigerians with fake customs papers grace to pay their duty or risk confiscation of their vehicles.

“I am waiting for President Muhammed Buhari to give me the permission to ban importation of cars through land borders to curb smuggling”, he said.

BATTLE LINE DRAWN: Buhari Finally Dares Amaechi, Orders His Probe Over Judicial Bribe

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered a comprehensive investigation of the transport minister and former Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi over judiciary bribe saga ravaging the ruling All Progressives Congress, an unconfirmed report according to 247Ureport suggests.

According to 247Ureport, the house of the presidency appears struck on a path to self-implosion and as a result, the President had ordered for a comprehensive investigation into the allegations leveled on the Transport Minister by two Justices of the Federation.

Following what appeared as serialized exposure by the Justices of the federation of the involvement of Rotimi Amaechi in the attempt to subvert the judicial process, the President of the federation, General Mohammadu Buhari fell under the immense pressure from the international community to investigate the validity in the claims leveled by the Justices.

To this end, the President instructed for a probe be launched into the activities as alleged by the Judges. The Judges had alleged that Amaechi attempted to bribe them in more than one occasion.

Our source reliably confirmed a probe into the claims of the Judges were launched based on the instructions of Mr. President.

All of the bank accounts known to belong to Amaechi, according to our source, have been placed under watch – and the historical activity on the account sequestered, 247Ureport says.

Justice John Inyang Okoro, of the supreme court, alleged that the Department of State Services (DSS) is after him because he refused a bribe from Chibuike Amaechi, minister of transportation.

Amaechi has denied the allegation and threatened to sue the judge.

Okoro, whose house was raided by the DSS on October 8, alleged that Amaechi had approached him to compromise the governorship election appeals from Akwa Ibom, Abia and River states, but that he declined to fall in line.

Also, Justice Ngwuta in a letter to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, specifically mentioned Amaechi and Minister of Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, as two top APC leaders who approached him approached him to compromise the ruling of Ekiti and Ebonyi State Governorship elections

'Who Are These So Called Hausa People That Are Dominating Us?' - Omokri Reveals Much To Southerners

When we in the South say that the Hausa people of Northern Nigeria are our enemies, we really ought to be aware that we are just playing into the divide and rule strategy of the oligarchs who have been the powers behind the throne in Nigeria for decades and who want the North and the South to be suspicious of each so they can play one side against the other and continue to dominate us to our detriment.

Now if you are a Southerner, ask yourself, who are these so called Hausa people that are dominating us? Of the thirteen Prime Ministers, heads of state and Presidents that have either ruled or led Nigeria since her independence from Great Britain in 1960, not one of them have been Hausa by tribe.

Tafawa Balewa, our first prime minister was from a small minority tribe called Gere in Bauchi state, known in the singular form as Bagere.

Johnson Aguiyi Ironsi was Igbo by tribe from Abia state. General Yakubu Gowon is Angas by tribe from Plateau state. Murtala Mohammed was Fulani from Kano state and President Olusegun Obasanjo is Yoruba from Ogun state.

President Shehu Shagari is a Fulani from Sokoto state. Video Player 000000 President Muhammadu Buhari is a Fulani from Katsina state while President Ibrahim Babangida is a Gwari from Niger state.

Ernest Shonekan is Yoruba from Ogun state and Sani Abacha was Kanuri although he claimed Kano as his state because he was brought up there. Abdulsalami Abubakar is the only Hausa leader we have ever had.

Yet was he a dictator? Was he domineering? Capital NO. In office, he was a God-fearing ruler who treated every part of Nigeria equally and ushered in the Fourth Republic which has been our longest democratic experience ever. Abdulsalami is, and was a good man.

Does his image fit the stereotype of the mean and monstrous Hausa man? No! Abdulsalami is more humane than some people who even call themselves clergymen! If he had wanted to stay on in power, you and I would not have been able to stop him.

More than President Obasanjo, General Abdulsalami Abubakar is our own Mandela! After him we had the second, Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration which was succeeded by the Umaru Musa Yar’adua administration. President Yar’adua was a Fulani from Katsina state.

He was succeeded by President Goodluck Jonathan, a minority Ogbia (a minority clan within a minority tribe). He has been succeeded by President Muhammadu Buhari who is a Fulani from Katsina as previously noted.

From the above, some persons may want to adjust Hausa domination and make it Fulani domination, but that again is another Myth! Of the four Fulanis who have either ruled or led Nigeria, two of them were reluctant Presidents.

President Shehu Shagari, whom I have met physically, never wanted to be President of Nigeria. That is what he meant by the title of his own autobiography, ‘Beckoned to Serve’. All he wanted was to be a Senator. He was prevailed upon by the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN) to run as its flag bearer.

He was a reluctant President. Ditto for the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua. He never wanted to be President. He wanted to retire as a chemistry lecturer in Katsina. He was persuaded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to be the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and even during the Presidential campaigns of 2007, President Obasanjo campaigned for Yar’adua more than Yar’adua campaigned for himself!

Now of the remaining two Fulani leaders, President Muhammadu Buhari tried three times to be Nigeria’s President and three times he failed because he largely depended on the Hausa-Fulani (there is really nothing like Hausa-Fulani, it is a creation of the Lagos-Ibadan press.

You are either Hausa or Fulani). The fact of history is that in 2015, the then candidate Buhari’s victory depended on God who used two Southwestern Yoruba men, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

In other words, what the North could not do for President Buhari was done for him by two South-westerners. So ask yourself who is dominating who? And in fact, Hausa is more of a language than it is a tribe.

It is a language that connects the people of Northern Nigeria. A lot of these people that we in the South view as Hausa are not Hausa. They have their own individual ethnic nationalities. But when we in the South resist them and band them all as Hausa, they have no choice but to fall back on that identity and unite on it to also resist us in the South.

You cannot expect people you do not like to love you. And government cannot force us to love each other. Government cannot legislate patriotism.

You and I must learn to understand each other and grow to love each whether we are from the North or South. When the oppressed people of Nigeria unite against their oppressors, it is then they will know that the masses are the only dominant power bloc in Nigeria.

Until then, enjoy your imaginary Hausa enemies! Omokri is the founder of the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California, author of Shunpiking: No Shortcuts to God and Why Jesus Wept and the host of Transformation with Reno Omokri By Reno Omokri

Buhari Should Resign Over WAEC Result If Judges Should Step Down - Adegboruwa

A human rights lawyer, Ebun Adegboruwa, has argued that the judged accused of corruption should not step aside.

Adegboruwa claimed that according to law, an accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court.

He also argued that if the judges should resign, Buhari should also resign over allegations about his WAEC result.

Girls In Aba Start Sex At Age 10, Research Shows

A medical practitioner, Dr Godwin Uwaoma, said on Monday that girls in Aba, Abia engage in active sexual activities from the age of 10, raising higher chances of contracting HIV.

Uwaoma, the Chairman of the Thematic Working Group at the Nigerian Faith Based Advisory Council for AIDS (NFACA), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Aba that a 2014 research revealed the development.

He said that the study was conducted to find out the awareness of preventive measures among youths in the secondary schools for the Department of Public Health at the Imo State University.

“We discovered that some girls in Aba start sexual activities at the age 10 to 12 and that at the age of 12, girls in Aba have “regular boyfriends” with whom they agree to have sex regularly.

“This was not known before. Usually HIV prevention was targeted at age 15 upward but we now know that before 15 they have become sexually active.

“And there is a lot of difference between when you are forced into it and you remove yourself thereafter and when at this age you now have a regular partner.

“That was what we discovered and it is not normal but an aberration but obviously the fact is there,” he said.

At a lecture organised by the Aba chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) to mark their week, Uwaoma called for prevention rather than cure which was unavailable for HIV cases.

He urged the students to desist from watching pornographic films, playing sexual games with opposite sex and keeping bad friends to save them from sexual temptations.

In another lecture titled “Sex and Puberty,” Dr Kenneth Ngwogu, a lecturer at the Abia State University, said that puberty brought changes in character and body composition to young people.

Noting that most youths ruined their lives through dangerous actions like early sex, Ngwogu urged them to consult doctors or adults to manage the challenges of puberty.

He charged the youth to desist from sexual activities which could refocus their attention while in school to reach their goals of becoming successful people.

IGBO SUMMIT: IPOB Strikes Elders, Says 'No Nnamdi Kanu No Meeting

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPO has lashed out at Igbo elders for associating with its planned All Igbo Summit scheduled to hold in Uturu Abia State in November. Vanguard reports that in a statement signed by Mr. Emma Powerful who is the media aide of the pro-Biafra group, it said it was not in support of the summit and insulted the elders who it said are only concerned about what they can get from Abuja.

IPOB insisted that Nnamdi Kanu was its only recognised leader and that the quest for Biafra was its only focus. The group said: “The group of so-called Igbo leaders, who are going about brandishing the noble name of our great IPOB, in their emails to people for their fraudulent and Aso rock-sponsored All Igbo Summit, are hereby warned to desist forthwith from including IPO’s name in their emails.”

“We are not part of and cannot be part of the fraudulent so called All Igbo Summit scheduled for next month at Uturu, Abia State. It is specifically for the group of ex-this and ex-that who had earlier planned to host Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari in our region, until they were told that such mindless scheme could only lead to bloodshed, have now resorted to telling everybody that they are planning for our future at the so called All Igbo Summit.

“Everybody is wondering why these shameless political hustlers suddenly woke up now and are determined to hold a summit. Their planed summit is not unconnected with their fears that they have become irrelevant in the scheme of things, hence their struggle to make themselves reinvent by hoping to become relevant with a completely unhelpful summit, that would achieve absolutely nothing.

“As we boldly march on to freedom from the 50 years slavery and oppression visited upon us, by the internal colonialists with the active collaboration of the same so-called leaders over the decades who are always rewarded with crumbs, while our region remains deliberately under- developed and isolated, they are trying to repeat the same game all over again, game of cheating themselves with crumbs while other regions develops in geometric progression.

“They had 46 years to plan the future of our region, all they did was subvert and undermine group interest all the times for their personal interest, they all pursued individual accommodation in all the failed and oppressive governments of Nigeria, since 1970, both military and civilian.

“These leaders without followers plot their senseless and useless summit at Uturu, as usual with the blessing and active support of Aso Rock, we advise them to be guided accordingly, that 99% of our people both old and young, have seen through their heartless and evil scheme for decades, we have endured their abuse and trade-off of and sell out of our future for personal again for 46 years.

“We are all victims of their ruthless exploitation and selfishness and we will not accept their evil ventures anymore. We are saying never again will these shameless horde of political hustlers, use us again to warm themselves into Aso Rock Villa.

“The dilapidated infrastructure and the killing of the peaceful unarmed members of IPOB in Biafraland, their directionless leadership, and the painful vacuum created they created by their spineless and rudderless leadership in our region led to the frustrations that crystallized to our desire for freedom from Nigeria.

“Most painful of all, is their flagrant serial betrayal of the masses by the people who ought to lead by example. We therefore, find it provocative when this same people who have made a life-long carrier in trading-off the group interest of our region for individual gain, to turn around now to include IPOB in their ill-fated racket, called summit, we advise them, to remove IPOB from their emails or else they would only find themselves holding and twisting the tiger by the tail.”
